[ENG/DEU] Day 13: The Best Thing You Heard Today Is... (win 1 HSBI for it! Or 2? NEW: Up to 4!)

Welcome to a new round in which we want to share quotes, views and impulses with each other. Thank you also for your participation in the last round! So I'm looking forward to new impulses in today's post - and I think I've brought you something good again. Cheers to you!

Willkommen zu einer neuen Runde, in welcher wir Zitate, Ansichten und Impulse miteinander teilen wollen. Vielen Dank auch für die Beteiligung in der letzten Runde! Somit freue ich mich auf neue Impulse im heutigen Posting - und ich glaube, ich habe euch wieder etwas Gutes mitgebracht. Auf Dich!

NEW as of today:

@lordshah has agreed to donate 5 HIVE/HSBI to this cause. That is what I call a hivian! This gave me the idea to introduce this in general. So if you like, you can now send HIVE to PowerPaul and I'll raffle them off within this campaign.

As a thank you, I will list the current sponsors here and visit the sponsor's profile(s) again and again during the active sponsorship period and leave a vote if the articles on the sponsor's blog are suitable. It's all about give and take.

The intention of @lordshah was to increase the prize money for participants. Therefore, I will not only give away one HSBI per day, but select two winners. As always, if you have also written an article about your comment here (please include the link in the comment), you will win 2 HSBIs. This means that we will be giving away a maximum of 4 HSBIs a day as part of this promotion. And just to clarify: I only ever use one HSBI from a sponsor per day. "I heard two elderly ladies outside as I was getting up. They were talking about how it must be the second house. I immediately thought of the doctor a whole row away and opened the window and told the ladies where the doctor was. They thanked me warmly and left. Should I have done that? No, but it doesn't hurt and somehow feels good. A few days ago I had a truck driver at work who didn't really understand what I wanted from him. I then spoke to one of his colleagues on his cell phone and the whole back and forth lasted a good 10 minutes. I was pretty calm and chilled. When we were finished, my colleague said that she would have freaked out long ago because the man didn't understand and she admired the fact that I remained so calm.
Just two of several situations I've experienced in the last few days where a friendly, helpful or calm manner was always better than the opposite. Most people appreciate it.

Sometimes you just have to say: “I'm off work now”. Especially if you work on your own account. You could always carry on. But at some point you should just say to yourself: "No, not today. Now I'm going to play with my children, spend time with my partner, take the dog for a walk, play music, read a book, sit in the sun, go into town and flirt with the fruit seller and invite her for an ice cream, take care of my health or or or or." That sort of thing. Is there such a thing as “doing nothing”? Isn't idleness sometimes a valuable and meaningful activity? Maybe...

In any case, I'm now programming lights for an event I have on Thursday... You know... DJ PowerPaul!

Mein Beitrag für Heute ...

... ist ein Paradoxon. Denn mein Beitrag für heute ist kein Beitrag. Das erkläre ich aber - und mache es dann doch wieder zu einem Beitrag...

Manchmal muss man auch einfach sagen: "Feierabend jetzt". Insbesondere, wenn man auf eigene Rechnung arbeitet. Man könnte immer noch weitermachen. Aber irgendwann sollte man sich auch einfach mal sagen: "Nee, heute nicht. Jetzt spiele ich mit meinen Kindern, verbringe Zeit mit dem Partner, gehe mit dem Hund spazieren, mache Musik, lese ein Buch, setze mich in die Sonne, gehe in die Stadt und flirte mit der Obstverkäuferin und lade sie zu einem Eis ein, kümmere mich um meine Gesundheit oder oder oder." Sowas halt. Gibt es überhaupt "nichts tun"? Ist nicht auch Müßiggang manchmal eine wertvolle und gehaltvolle Tätigkeit? Mag sein...

Ich in jedem Fall, programmiere jetzt Lichter für ein Event, welches ich am Donnerstag habe... You know... DJ PowerPaul!
