El reto es mayúsculo, grabar una batería con doble bombo en un espacio reducido y de techo bajo, los modos de la sala no tardarán en aparecer, habrá que improvisar.

Diseñé un pequeño sistema con un anciano pero eficiente Digidesign Mix 24+, una consola Mackie Vlz como frontend, y un snake de 16 canales.

The challenge is enormous: recording a drum kit with a double bass drum in a small space with a low ceiling. The room's ambiance will soon emerge, and improvisation will be necessary.

Hoy será un día de experimentación y montaje, escribo esto mientras los chicos tocan el set del álbum y voy tomando notas mentales. Según lo que he aprendido todos estos años mi trabajo consiste en mantener la integridad del sonido de la banda, sin forzarlos en ninguna dirección, un primer trabajo es la ilusión más grande de un artista y es mi deber brindarles el mejor producto y experiencia posible.

Today will be a day of experimentation and editing. I'm writing this while the guys play the album set, taking mental notes. Based on what I've learned over the years, my job is to maintain the integrity of the band's sound, without forcing them in any direction. A first album is an artist's greatest dream, and it's my duty to provide them with the best product and experience possible.

Esto apenas comienza, y el inicio del camino siempre es la parte más dura del proceso, pero hasta material y ganas de sobra para realizar un gran álbum

This is just the beginning, and the beginning of the journey is always the hardest part of the process, but even with the material and desire, there's plenty of room to make a great album.
