Celebrating Hezekiah’s First Birthday!

It was a momentous day as we celebrated the birthday of a loved one, named Hezekiah. What a joyous journey in her first year as I have witnessed her grow, not to mention that I am one of her godmothers.

I have mentioned in my previous post that I was invited by a friend. The reason why I discovered a beautiful spot was because of this celebration when I was invited by my dear friend for her birthday which was held at Taghuyan in Lunocan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines. I never knew about this place until my friends invited me to Hezekiah’s birthday.

How I love the weather with the sky so blue complementing the greenery of the surroundings, and the clouds looked like cotton that caught my attention before entering the venue.

The venue was adorned with lovely decorations. What I loved about them was having the shades of pink in all hues blended with glowing colors like silver and gold.

As soon as I entered the gate, Hezekiah was already there waiting for her visitors together with some friends, her family, and relatives.

I have not wrapped a gift for her, but I have given her a Chinese envelope with Money inside and birthday wishes for her special day. I then gave it to her and it seemed she had no idea about it but just enjoyed playing with the envelope with money. I took quick photos of her.

I remember babies do love red colors as my grandmother told me. It could be one of the reasons why she kept on playing the envelope because she was attracted to it. I so love her wearing a pink dress and it looked so good on her.

She was so adorable. I tried to let her smile but she was not in the mood. But then there was a time when she wanted to call my attention. And then most of the moments she likes to be cuddled by her mother. Both of her parents are my close friends because they are also my colleagues.

I continued talking and playing with her until her mother told me to have a photo opportunity at the lovely birthday decorations. So I carried her and it turned out that she was almost crying for a moment. Here are some of the quick snapshots captured while I was with Hezekiah.

Later on, she started to cry. While we were both captured by the camera, I noticed that she started crying and she wanted to be cuddled back by her mother. Funny how she was not in the mood to take some selfies. But I understand it since we only have rare moments together as my friends rarely bring her in the workplace.

I never wanted to see her cry so after a while I gave her back to her mother. And at this moment, she was now smiling back while enjoying everything around.

While she was cuddled by her mother, I went at some corners and captured the beautiful views aside with full of greenery. I enjoyed taking some quick shots. This place was truly so refreshing and I must say I was so relaxed with the beautiful greenery all around the beautiful spot.

After breathing fresh air, I went back to the place and observed some beautiful details I have not captured since I was busy talking with my friends and at the same time enjoying the moments. I was then seated at a relaxing rocking chair and felt relaxed there for a while. And beside it was the pink give aways for Hezekiah’s birthday.

And as I entered inside I was delighted to see a beautiful ceiling. It was so rustic and I love how relaxing the venue was.

We were waiting for some visitors to arrive who were also my friends. And at 12 noon, we started the celebration through a short program, followed by a prayer, and blessings of the food.

There were so many foods prepared on the table not to mention that Lechon Baboy or Roast Pig with its crispy skin was so delicious. There were a variety of dishes and desserts too which I all loved. That iw why I was so full during Hezekiah’s birthday because there were many tasty foodies prepared for her birthday.

I took some quick snapshots with her beautiful family as we all sang a Happy Birthday song to the adorable birthday celebrant. She enjoyed the time while she was cuddled by her mother and father. And I love to see them in a frame with the big smiles. Indeed, it was so priceless moment together.

Meanwhile, I went outside and stroll around the beautiful home. I then noticed the joyous journey of Hezekiah’s First Year as displayed outside with her lovely and adorable photos with different theme starting from the first month to the first year. And there were also birthday gifts displayed with the colorful spiral flower design that kept on turning when the wind blows.

I enjoyed watching her with the lovely photoshoots on each picture. I truly love all her pictures but my most favorite was her fourth month photoshoot with the Snow White theme. I really love the blend of colors with the background. She was really so adorable and a cute baby in all her photos and I so love the decoration used to organize it.

Ah! The beautiful decorations were calling me to take a selfie. I never went home without taking a candid shot there. Perhaps I had a great time during Hezekiah’s first birthday with my friends!
