This is a song about a grandfather clock keeping time through the life of a child to a man.
It was written by Henry Clay Work, centuries ago and frightened some children with its theme of death but nevertheless, I always found it extremely moving -
I have tried to do a more rousing version than the original
It has been covered by artists like Johnny Cash Simon and Garfunkel
