You don't know what you missed until you find it. This week I happened on two new artists that I can happily add to the mix.

The one I already knew although I did not realize it.

Royal & Serpent

This song "I can't get high" tends to get played quite often in these indie unknown artist mixes and my first reaction is always "Oh, that is KFlay."

Maybe my deafness subsided for a moment of clarity since KFlay has a bit more grunge in her voice so I went to check, and was happy to find it is actually a band I just don't know.

Royal and Serpent's lead singer girl has that smokey voice that adds a bit more base to everything, the general sound can feel a bit generic but I don't mind since the beats still sound crisp and catchy.

Naethan Apollo

Naethan feels like the perfect blend between Hobo Johnson and Air Traffic Controllers.

He has a quirky voice and uses that well to compliment the slightly offbeat instrumentals. I guess that is just how developing a unique sound works.

The song above has a little bit of everything that makes his music stand out from the rest. It has a few switchover breaking the generic beat but keeping a familiar rhythm to keep yo ass bopping.

His Tales from Cazilor album is a clever story driven song collection.

He has not got too many songs yet but the two 20 or so that are on Youtube and Spotify are definitely good for a couple repeats and since it seems he is rather new, with his first single only being in 2022/2021 I think there are hopefully a good injection to the industry coming from him.
