It's not a joke, it's serious. We are already on Friday night and while reviewing a little to write my record of the day, and select some of the anniversaries of #History to share, I came across this date, which is a celebration of a very successful Latin American #Singer for about three decades.

Today's celebration was raised among the fans of the Colombian singer because September 29 (1998) was the launch of her first studio album: 'Dónde están los Ladrones' (Where are the thieves). This album was very well received, both by the public, critics and the music industry, it was the beginning of her career and (for some fans) it is considered the best Latin rock album that this artist has made.

Thinking about Shakira brings back memories, in particular, it is because of the #video for the #song 'Pies Descalzos' (1995) (Bare Feet), which was the work that I saw on TV and made me know about her songs. The lyrics of the song addressed some philosophical approaches, and the video itself has many allegories to the hypocrisy of society, to the complications that exist, and is a bit like the complaint of a teenager before an adult world that has nasty things.

Pensar en Shakira me trae recuerdos, en lo particular, es por el vídeo de la canción ‘Pies Descalzos’ (1995), que fue el trabajo que vi en TV y me hizo conocer sobre sus canciones. La letra de la canción abordaba algunos planteamientos de tinte filosófico, y el vídeo en sí tiene muchas alegorías a la hipocresía de la sociedad, a las complicaciones que se tienen, y es un poco como el reclamo de una adolescente ante un mundo adulto que tiene cosas desagradables.
