Why Has All the Music Dried Up?

It's been quite a while since I posted about music, it's not surprising really. But if I'm honest it has been too long and I should never leave it this long, that only serves to disrespect the most powerful medium on the planet.

I suppose the reason I haven't posted in relation to music lately is that I am simply not listening to that much at the moment, not enough to talk about anyway. It's odd really. Music is so valuable to me but my relationship with it can at times be a strained one.

I don't know about you but do you ever go through sustained periods where you just can't find any music that will do anything for you? I do, and I guess that's what I have been experiencing the past month, longer in fact.

It seems that the right music for me is not anywhere to be found. Music is so elusive for me right now.

Music has often been my escape, that's one of its greatest qualities. It's also been a huge comfort to me over the years. As I've always said - music is the best friend anyone can ever have. But where is he? Where has he gone? What does music mean to me now?

As with most people music means many different things, that's what gives it such versatility. Nonetheless, it doesn't mean too much for me right now, it's all dried up. Is there any music left in the world that I can still call music and get some kind of value from? Not right now.

But I will give it a try. I will share with you a song that speaks to me on various different levels. I hope you too will get something out of it.

Yeah, great banger from the 80s, I love it. I prefer Der Kommissar though.

I also had a period where I can't find new music to resonate with me. When I still wasn't into electronic and hard rock was my go to genre, I struggled to find new tunes that really could catch my attention.

A recent rock act that I discovered and I really like is Starbenders. Don't know if it's your genre, give it a try
