A real Winter Market Friday post.

One of the big wine estates here in the Western Cape Province of South Africa, has now established a Winter Market.

Very smart, and peaceful out in the open with views out of this world.

They had it all, tasteful food, music and even a bar. It is winter here now, and nice sunny days are scarce, so everyone was out to enjoy the sunshine. A wonderful experience after the tons of rain we had these past weeks. The staff at the place are very friendly and a great atmosphere made our visit a real pleasure. Out in the open on a sunny day was made for this.
But enough talk and come and see what I have in here.

This is a #MarketFriday post managed by @dswigle.

This is a beautiful tree lined road up to the market. The trees are all naked, as it's winter, and in summer this turns into a lovely green road.

Some pedestrians crossing a side road. Guinea fowls.

My lady found us an empty spot on that wine barrel.

She got us two take away coffees, while I was walking around with my camera.

Let's have a look at the interior of the building.

A short video here to give you an idea of the venue and the live music.

A statue of some ladies having a friendly chat. Like the trees, they were also naked and in spring they will also start to dress themselves again :)

And finally, to show you my favorite view of the white wine cellar near the mountains.

So, like I said before, there is always something going on here and our way of life is not to slouch our time away on a couch. I mean that we don't even have a TV, as Mother nature is our TV.
Winter, summer and whatever, we are out there every chance that we get. Of course, the rest of the time our charity work takes precedence, and we are glad to report that we are making great headway with Papillon's support in the poor communities. I plan to do a bumper charity post in the #combination account soon, to show you some great achievements.

Getting back to the subject matter, we suffered two burnouts and the last one nearly cost me my life. Nature and our God are great healers, and I am slowly making way health wise. Waiting now for a blood test on the 18th of July to see if the treatment for my chronic iron level was successful. In the meantime, we just keep on going as best we can.
Such is life.

Should you want to visit the Winter Market at the Lourensford Wine Estate, I have a secure link here of the estate for more information.

Note that there is also a much bigger summer market at the estate and many other activities.

I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

And That's All Friends.

Raining now again until Wednesday Lady Lizzie.
Thank you and we continue to pray that the treatment was successful. I am tired of all the tabs.
Oh no, I thought that there were no more procedures and now an angiogram. Please tell Arthur that we are praying for a good outcome.
Blessings and !LUV

I am praying for good news on the 18th! You are in my thoughts and prayers. It is so nice to see you out and about with Lady Marian! That is a beautiful place and the view beyond is amazing.

I liked the vibe of the place with the video! Thanks so much for sharing that. It looks like a happening place and it is true, you never slow down, do you?

It was so great to see you posting on #MarketFriday, everything about this post is happy, positive, and beautiful, just like the man who wrote it! Love to you, @papilloncharity You are so loved!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday

Thank you for the prayers Lady Denise and it is certainly needed.
I will not let it stop me from going out and about, even if the result of the test is negative.

The place had a lovely vibe and everyone seemed to be enjoying it. The views are really addictive :)

Thank you for the kind compliment and it was my pleasure to support you in the "MarketFriday".
I will continue to do so, whenever we go to a market over here.
Thank you also kindly for the tip ❤️

All of our love to you!
