It's Thursday, and I want to throw my ID on the floor and reminisce about some hits that were played a lot thanks to the success of certain TV shows and movies in the '90s. Today I'll recommend three songs, plus a bonus one, because they marked a stage in my life 😁

El otro día me puse a ver una serie vieja del 2010 y, al revisar el repertorio en mi canal de streaming favorito, encontré una serie que me trajo recuerdos por su tema musical introductorio. Es por los recuerdos que me trae dicho tema musical que quise armar este post para ustedes hoy.
Al recordar ese tema, se me vinieron a la cabeza más canciones que al escucharlas una sola vez se me quedaban pegadas por días en mi cabeza, así que la selección para este Jueves TBT es la siguiente:

The other day, I started watching an old series from 2010, and while browsing the catalog on my favorite streaming channel, I found a show that brought back memories because of its theme song. It's because of the memories that song evokes that I wanted to put together this post for you today.
Remembering that song brought to mind more songs that, after hearing them just once, would get stuck in my head for days. So, here's my selection for this Throwback Thursday:
Save Me - Remy Zero
Empezaré por la más pegajosa de todas, la canción que me inspiró a armar este post. ¿Quién no recuerda el tema musical introductorio de la serie Smallville? Una serie que hicieron para presentarnos una versión de Superman en sus años de estudiante de preparatoria. Para serles honesta, nunca terminé de ver la serie, pero lo que sí escuchaba bastante era la propaganda en Warner Channel y su icónica intro musical que se me quedaba pegado por días.
I'll start with the catchiest one of all, the song that inspired me to write this post. Who doesn't remember the theme song from the TV series Smallville? A show they made to introduce us to a version of Superman during his high school years. To be honest, I never finished watching the series, but I did hear the commercials on Warner Channel quite a lot, and its iconic intro music would get stuck in my head for days.
Trouble - Shampoo
Mi segunda elección es una canción que sí salió en la década de los 90 con la primera película de los Power Rangers. Todo un clásico a mi parecer. La primera vez que la escuché quedó en mi cabeza sonando varias semanas. Incluso ahora en el 2026 de vez en cuando la escucho y me causa el mismo efecto. Escucharla es revivir mi infancia y los buenos recuerdos que me dieron estos personajes. Simplemente innolvidable.
My second choice is a song that came out in the 90s with the first Power Rangers movie. A true classic in my opinion. The first time I heard it, it was stuck in my head for weeks. Even now, in 2026, I still listen to it occasionally, and it has the same effect on me. Listening to it is like reliving my childhood and the wonderful memories these characters gave me. Simply unforgettable.
The X Files Theme Song Techno Remix
Esta canción es un clásico de clásicos. Por más que pasen los años, no pasará de moda y todo el mundo la conoce. La versión original todos la han escuchado, pero ¿la versión remix? Con ese toque típico de la música de los 90, no tiene comparación. Por cierto, esta es otra serie que tengo pendiente de terminar de ver. Me quedé a mitad de la cuarta temporada.
This song is a true classic. No matter how many years go by, it will never go out of style, and everyone knows it. Everyone has heard the original version, but the remix? With that typical 90s vibe, it's simply incomparable. By the way, this is another series I still need to finish watching. I stopped halfway through the fourth season.
Extra: Mortal Kombat
¿Dónde están los fans de Mortal Kombat? Otra canción que llegó a mi cabeza mientras armaba este post. ¿Cómo olvidar este temazo si marcó una buena etapa con la primera película que salió de este videojuego? La película fue malísima, pero el tema musical fue espectacular y hay que reconocerlo.

Where are the Mortal Kombat fans? Another song popped into my head while I was putting this post together. How could I forget this amazing track? It marked such a great era with the first movie based on the video game. The movie was terrible, but the theme song was spectacular, and we have to acknowledge that.
