Lux: Undeniable genius, but difficult to love【 🇪🇸 - 🇺🇸 】
Saludos amantes de la música que dan vida a #Music. Hace poco se estrenó el nuevo álbum de Rosalía llamado LUX, el cual estaba esperando escuchar con muchas ganas. Esto porque su canción Berghain cuando sacó el video, creo que batió récords en YouTube a tan sólo unas horas de haber sido estrenada.
Greetings to all music lovers who bring #Music to life. Rosalía's new album, LUX, was recently released, and I was really looking forward to hearing it. This is because her song Berghain broke YouTube records when the video came out, I think, just hours after its release.

El nuevo disco consta de 15 canciones, todas hechas con mucha técnica y arte musical. Pero antes de armar mi post debo avisarles que no soy fan de esta cantante, porque su estilo es muy urbano y algo ordinario para mi gusto.
Sin embargo, al escuchar las canciones de este nuevo disco, los instrumentos y la sinfonía juegan un papel fundamental en cada canción, incluyendo la voz de la artista que armoniza de manera caótica cada canción.

The new album consists of 15 songs, all crafted with great technical skill and musical artistry. But before I begin my post, I should warn you that I'm not a fan of this singer, because her style is too urban and somewhat ordinary for my taste.
However, upon listening to the songs on this new album, the instruments and the symphonic arrangements play a fundamental role in each track, including the artist's voice, which chaotically harmonizes each song.
Lo digo así porque es la impresión que me dio el álbum luego de escucharlo completo sólo 3 veces y no pensé escucharlo más de 2 veces porque me resultó una mezcla caótica cargada de drama, dolor y algo de ira.
Desde mi punto de vista como no fan de ella, pienso que fue excesiva en varios aspectos. Primero en la cantidad de estilos incorporados. El disco no se define por música clásica, ni por el estilo del flamenco español, ni por el antiguo estilo urbano de esta mujer.
I say this because it's the impression the album gave me after listening to it all the way through only three times, and I didn't think I'd listen to it more than twice because I found it a chaotic mix full of drama, pain, and a bit of anger.
From my perspective as a non-fan of hers, I think she went overboard in several aspects. First, in the number of styles she incorporated. The album isn't defined by classical music, Spanish flamenco, or this woman's former urban style.
Y sí, hay arte en este disco, pero honestamente esperaba más clase. Esto lo digo porque la canción de Berghain causó tanto furor entre YouTubers que me vi varios videos donde analizaban esta canción y cada escena de esta.
Pero eso fue todo. Admito que cantó con mucha técnica, que quiso imponer un nuevo estilo, pero la verdad no sé cómo llamarlo. Además de que quiso incorporar aspectos religiosos que simplemente no encajan con ella por más que los intente encajar.
And yes, there's artistry on this album, but honestly, I expected more class. I say this because the song by Berghain caused such a stir among YouTubers that I watched several videos analyzing the song and every scene from it.
But that was about it. I admit she sang with great technique, that she wanted to establish a new style, but I honestly don't know what to call it. She also tried to incorporate religious elements that simply don't suit her, no matter how hard she tries.
El disco, no lo entiendo. Si lo que quería explicar era cómo funciona su cabeza, me parece que hay mucho caos en ella, tanto que no logra definirse a sí misma, y que también está pasando por una etapa de su vida bastante conflictiva y llena de dolor.
Las letras de sus canciones son complejas y también dejó claro que sabe cantar ópera, rap y hablar en diferentes idiomas, como en 14 idiomas para ser exactos. Entonces no sé, para mí abarcó mucho con demasiado y al final su disco no me gustó.
Sólo 3 canciones resaltaron y entre ellas está la que estalló en Youtube. Si una canción debe definir su disco, creo que eligió bien al lanzar Berghain como su hit principal. Allí se nota el caos, la desesperación, el dolor y el nivel artístico de Rosalía en todo su esplendor. A continuación les dejo las 2 canciones más resaltantes de su disco. ¡Hasta un próximo post! 🌸
I don't understand the album. If what she wanted to explain was how her mind works, it seems to me that there's so much chaos within her that she can't define herself, and that she's also going through a rather conflicted and painful period in her life.
The lyrics of her songs are complex, and she also made it clear that she can sing opera, rap, and speak in different languages—14 languages, to be exact. So, I don't know, for me, she tried to do too much, and in the end, I didn't like the album.
Only three songs stood out, and among them is the one that exploded on YouTube. If one song has to define the album, I think she chose well by releasing Berghain as its main hit.
