This week, we travel back to the golden age of music, the 1930s and 40s, when melodies were timeless and lyrics felt like poetry.
For this theme, I chose the classic “At Last”, originally composed in 1941 by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren, and later immortalized by the legendary Etta James.

This song speaks of love fulfilled, of finding peace, joy, and rest in someone after waiting for so long. I poured my heart into this rendition, because sometimes, music this soulful is the only way to express what words alone can't.

Here’s to the magic of old-school music, and the emotions that never age. 🎶💛

Lyrics
At last
My love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song

Oh yeah yeah
At last

The skies above are blue
My heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you

I found a dream, that I could speak to
A dream that I can call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known

Oh yeah yeah
You smiled, you smiled
Oh and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
For you are mine...

At Last
