AFRI-TUNES WEEK 175 - DANSAKIRE (COVER)

Welcome to my entry for Afritunes week 175. This week I bring us a bass cover of "DANSAKIRE" originally sang by Lara George a profound gospel musician of our time. DANSAKIRE is a popular Yoruba phrase which means "We praise You".

I have known the song for quite some time but recently stumped on the song after someone requested I help them do a little work on the song. I took that opportunity to start scoring the bass lines of the song during my bass practice and thought I could wrap it up for this week's entry. I'm glad I didn't stop in my bass practice and I hope to achieve my aim and target on the bass guitar before the year runs out.

Back to the song DANSAKIRE, I love the fact that Lara acknowledged the Supremacy of the Lord and how important it is that we give Him praise, He is the waymaker and our heavenly father. Allot might probably be going on in our minds specially in this era that everything seem to be working opposite but that doesn't change the fact that God has blessed us and His power is evident in one way or the other in our lives, this alone is enough to acknowledge His name.. The song is sang in both English and Yoruba dialect. I know most of you can relate to the song so, I hope you enjoy my presentation and vibe with me..
