Well, today I come to talk to you about a song that, honestly, took me by surprise... again. It turns out that Enrique Iglesias has decided to resurrect his song “Espacio en tu corazón”, released two years ago, and not only that, he has done it in collaboration with Ana Mena. And that's where I got a little bit of a “seriously? I don't know, with Enrique you never know. One day he's in country mode with Miranda Lambert and the next he brings us a bachata with an excellent Spanish pop singer. Quite a contrast, isn't it? I say all this because a while ago he released another song with the singer I mentioned. Although in my opinion, for a monotonous singer who always releases the same thing, it's better to innovate and be creative. So I give Enrrique a point.

I didn't know anything about this release until yesterday, I found out because I saw the singer's instagram and I was able to find out about the new song. I listened to it and because of things of life today I'm talking about it haha. Although of course I'm not going to lie to you when I found out about this collaboration, it got me thinking... What would go through Enrique's head to say I'm going to do a remix of this after two years? Although, come to think of it, maybe Enrique just wanted to surprise us, and hey, he succeeded. At least in my case he did.

I'll be honest, the first time I heard “Espacio en tu corazón” it wasn't something that blew my mind, although maybe it's just me because sometimes romantic ballads sound a little repetitive to me. But now, with this new version that includes Ana Mena, things change a bit. The two of them have added a touch of bachata and that gives it a more lively, more Latin twist. And if you know me well, from other posts I have done, you will know that I like bachata, but it has to be one of those that are not too cloying.

Ana, on the other hand, has that ability to adapt to almost any style you put in front of her. I've heard some of her more famous work and some of her more recent work as well, so I can get more or less an idea of her talent in what she does. With his collaboration with Enrique I think what we have here is a different story. The union of their voices was something that I honestly didn't expect to sound so good. I think Ana gives it a fresh touch, which maybe the song needed to have a second chance. That's my opinion, maybe others think the original sounded better, but I maintain that I like this version better. However, if some of you who are reading this think otherwise, I don't dispute it.

Since we are talking about Enrique, I would like to tell you that I find it curious that he never tires of reinventing himself, and although it may not seem like it, he has been doing it for quite some time now. I mean, who hasn't listened to “Bailando” or “Héroe”? The funny thing is, despite all these years, it's still relevant. But, let's be honest, with 154 number ones on the Billboard charts, Enrique could put out a song about making a sandwich and people would still listen to it. I don't know about you, but I'd do it just out of curiosity. I was thinking the other day, how does he stay on top? And sure enough, the answer is that she does what she feels like doing, when she feels like doing it, and hey, it works out well for her. Sometimes I think I should learn a little of that attitude in my day to day life. When there is talent and desire to create, these things happen. That's why I think there's a lesson to be learned from that.

I don't know if it happens to you, but sometimes, with romantic songs, I start to think about things from the past. You know, the kind of things you'd rather keep in the closet, but music has the ability to bring them out. I say this mainly because of the message of the song and its lyrics. The lyrics talk about that love that, although it is no longer present in the same way, it is still there. That “You still love me, I know it very well” sounds like something you say to yourself when you try to convince yourself that everything is still the same. Although of course it can be interpreted in other ways, but that is what I have noticed.

Friends then, with this we close the musical news for today. If you want to listen to the song I'm going to leave the youtube video right here so you can watch it now. Then don't forget that below is the recommendation of the day. I hope you find it useful.
