To stare-Inspired by Labrinth

And it was time for her to let loose of the thought of being used. It was time to become unaware,to not see clearly and to move about without a second thought of who was watching or seeing or observing. And then, she had finally mastered it. The act to be unaware of humans around..of people around.

She was unaware of the way he stared at her; the way he stared like she was a beautiful work of art, like she was something of enormous glory and he couldn't get enough of her. He couldn't speak to her. He was scared, wondering if he'd agree to hear what he had to say. Of what junk of rambled thoughts he had to tell her. Where would he start from? Her beauty? The way she speaks? Interacts? What she likes? Her hobbies? He'd like to know everything about her. He was afraid to tell her.

And so he went on with just staring whenever he saw her. He was intrigued by her, by her presence. It was like a bell in his head whenever she was within his range. He'd love to just stare,he thought. All day and all night. Oh,how she made him so unsure of himself. Questioning his every walk and action when she was around was so strange to him. He didn't like it,but he did it anyway. He wanted her attention...but she never seemed to give it to him. It was like she was in a whole different world of hers whenever he saw her. Quiet,in a corner and all alone, with her thoughts spiralling in her head. He'd love to be included in those thoughts, he thought. It was beginning to turn into an obsession...of a girl who didn't even know his name.

And so,it went on for days till she felt him. It wasn't the constant glances or effect of having someone staring at you for long that finally made her aware. It was...him. It was him.

Now,she was aware. Aware of the way his eyes immediately fixed on her whenever she walked into a room he's in. She we uncomfortable and curious. Why did he stare? She was basic or so she thought. There was nothing of interest to an outsider when it came to her physical appearance. What did he want? She was going to confront him. To ask why he always stared.

She failed. For some reasons, she didn't have enough courage for a confrontation. So she stared at him back, copying his habit of staring. And now, she'd come to realize he was a very beautiful man. Golden brown skin and eyes that pierced. Those same eyes that pierced her skin and held unspoken thoughts behind them. Oh,how she wished she could know what he was thinking. But she wasn't that brave to talk him. And so was he...
So they stayed as strangers, unaware of each other's names...just staring.

I do not know why but for some reason, whenever this song by Labrinth comes up, I'm transported to an entirely different place.

I particularly like how simple yet resonating the lyrics are.
