Today is the day the Lord God has made, I will Rejoice and be Glad in Him😊🥂,
So My birthday is finally here! I am turning another year older, a new chapter of life filled with adventures, greatness and I'm feeling a some mixed emotions.

Let's be real here, most times birthdays can be a lot of things for you , for some it could be exciting, overwhelming, nostalgic, or even just another day.
For me, it's a bit of just everything.

My Dad call me Midnight and it was prayers all through for more than 40 Minutes, I felt so fulfilled.

As I woke up this morning, I felt a sense of anticipation. Like I mean, who really doesn't love waking up to messages from loved ones, right?
I got Messages from almost all my bank, Access Bank, Union Bank, GTB and Union Bank. Afterward my staffs messages started trooping in.
On social Media, I made a post and shared some as status every where is blowing up with my friends and family sharing best wishes for me.
My phone has been blowing up with sweet wishes, funny memes, and heartfelt messages from friends and family. It's amazing how a simple Happy Birthday can brighten up your day.

Even in Thanksgiving Service in Church Today, I had to switch my phone off because of calls.
But amidst all the celebrations, I have been thinking about how I feel about birthdays.
Today I did do anything ExtraVagant, in church I brought the New Wireless Microphones I bought to the pastor as my birthday Seed for the Church.
I didn't do any fancy Cakes, I didn't buy anything extra, I just instructed my staffs to take some amount of money in the treasury and have a good time for themselves. I was just here resting and brainstorming on how to get better.

Honestly, I used to love birthdays more when I was younger but now I am just not sure if it's adulthood or the realization that time is flying by, whatever it is, I realise this Particular birthday I won't be doing any special celebrations whatsoever.
Don't get me wrong, I am so very grateful for another year of life, love, grace and growth. I'm thankful for the people who have been there for me through thick and thin. The great people who surrounds me, But sometimes, I wish birthdays were not so commercialized. You know, the obligatory cake, the Instagram-perfect photoshoot, the expensive gifts. It is more like everyone is now more focused on making the day look good on social media than actually enjoying it.

So for me today, I am trying to take a step back, breathe, and soak it all in. I am just reminding myself that it's okay to feel whatever I feel , that feeling of Deep thoughts, whether it's excitement, gratitude, or just a sense of "whatever", I will be doing whatever I want with it, nothing to conform me to the Norms, maybe I will indulge in my favorite foods, spend time with loved ones, and maybe watch some movies.

So, finally to everyone who's wished me a happy birthday, thank you! Your kind words mean the world to me.
