Cine TV Contest #125 - High School Musical (review)
Hello Everyone in this amazing Community
I hope you are all having a great day.
I saw the contest topic I couldn't help but write a review about one of my favourite all time Musical movie.
Music is life, a food for the soul that everyone around the world enjoys relentlessly. There are a lot of Movies Genres out there but I for one big reason loves music, so enjoying a musical is one of my big thing.
I have a lot of musical Movies I can watch again and again, examples are: Empire (2015 musical drama series: staring Terrence Howard as Lucius and Taraji P as Cookies lyon)
Dreamgirls(2007: a musical drama which is based on the story of the supreme), Camp Rock (2008 Disney Movie which stars Demi Lovato and Jonas Brother, Hairspray (2008: this is a musical romantic comedy, which was based on a 1981 movie of the same name), finally one of my favourite child hood musical which is: High School Musical.
Today I will be reviewing High School Musical
High School Music Movie Plot
The Movie stars around our two major Protagonist: Troy Bolton (played by Zac Efron): The popular and charismatic captain of the East High Wildcats basketball team who discovers his passion for singing and Gabriella Montez (played by Vanessa Hudgens): The intelligent and shy new student who shares Troy's love of singing and helps him find his voice.
Troy and Gabriella meets and discover their shared passion for singing, they find a sense of freedom and belonging which they have always longed for. For the first time, they can be themselves without fear of judgment. But as they navigate their newfound friendship and love of singing, they face opposition from Sharpay (the drama queen who will stop at nothing to sabotage their chances) and also Ryan Evans (sharpay's Twins brother, he assisted Sharpay with all her plans, he is a comic relief in the movie too😂).
Sharpay tries every possible best to Sabotage Troys and Gabriella's chances of having a lead role in the school Musical.
Troy must confront the pressure to conform to his team's expectations and find the courage to pursue his true passions. Gabriella must overcome her fears and doubts to find her voice and shine.
Troy and Gabriella learn that being true to oneself is the greatest act of courage and that embracing one's uniqueness is the key to true happiness.
What I love and learnt about the movie
The Movie theme taught me how Embrace my true passions , interests and lso Overcoming stereotypes and expectations. Friendship and loyalty (this can be seen between Troy and Gabriella) and last but not the least Self-discovery and growth as we can see in our Protagonist.
The Character development is also top notch:
As we can see Troy transformed from a basketballer to a Good sing also Gabrielle grew from being shy to becoming a brilliant performer
Relating all this to myself: I was really a very shy person myself, but I learnt from this movie to break free from that chain, I remember I started singing in my primary school and then I didn't relent or give up on my dreams, now I can perform anywhere, sing without anything hindering me.
The most iconic scene I can't forget:
Breaking Free performance: Troy and Gabriella performing Breaking free was just so excellent, I couldn't get it off my head and I can sing every part of the song.
Finally I would recommend this movie to everyone who loves music or aspire to be a musician: there are a lot of catchy music scores, talented cast and hilarious comedy scenes too.
