HIVE OPENMIC WEEK: 198 A COVER OF "BE MAGNIFIED" BY OLUTHOMAS

Hello my lovely Friends,
Greetings! I’m Olu Thomas and I'm glad to have you visit my blog. For this week's Hive Open Mic Week 198 Presentation, our Community Spotlight artist, @rasecdus, suggested that we use the theme "Rebellion" to express ourselves musically.

With great pleasure, I present a song by Don Moen, a globally recognized gospel singer. Numerous souls have been transformed by his song, and the count continues. Be Magnified o God is one of his songs and am gonna be singing the cover. Below is a brief explanation on this week theme “Rebellion”

Rebellion is the act of attempting to overthrow or oppose the authority and sometimes the subordinate. The Word of God contains numerous instances of rebellion. In the account of Moses, his sisters Miriam and Aaron started to speak negatively of him because Moses was acting contrary to his teachings after God commanded that no one should marry an Ethiopian. The Lord gave Moses the commandment, but Moses broke it. Aaron and Miriam chose to judge Moses themselves rather than wait for God's judgment, and God was against them, not the transgressor. Therefore, it is complete rebellion that Aaron and Miriam relied on their own wisdom rather than the wisdom of God. Although a student can't exceed their teacher, Jesus stated that clearly in the bible the student is capable of greater things than their teacher. Here, the things and personalities are different. Jesus promised that we would accomplish more than he did—not that we would surpass him as Jesus, but rather in accomplishments of things. There is a significant distinction there. Because of the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us, we do forget the fact that he is the source of everything and start to despise God for our way of life.

Only the devil rebelled, and because of the intensity of his disobedience, he was not granted another opportunity to change his ways. Today, a lot of people fall victim to that, but we have been spared because of God's mercy. I make a self-promise not to criticize or discredit any servant of God whether genuine or phony, as that would be considered rebellion. Is it possible that the devil believes he is not satisfied with the way God is ruling in heavenWith that he tries to establish his own government. God disproved his plans and cast him down.

This song makes it very clear that we should turn back to our creator and beg for forgiveness when ever we rebel against him or his servant. The song writer says he leaned on the wisdom of men but he ask for forgiveness, is a call for us to seek God's guidance before acting, rather than depending on the wisdom of men.

This is what I understood about this week's theme, and I wish I could write more.
