AFRITUNES WEEK 178 >>MAI GIRMA>> BY SOLOMON LANGE COVER BY @OLUTHOMAS

(Edited)

From the rising of the sun to the setting of the same, it is good for us to keep lifting our voices proclaiming and declaring the Lord’s majesty, and celebrating His goodness and kindness upon our lives.

In life, power pass power. That's why in every establishment, there are levels of authority, from the highest to the least. As a follower, you are expected to follow the instructions of those in authority. Sometimes they don’t even care whether you’re right or wrong. so long as you’re answerable to them, you are expected to obey whatever instructions they give. But to be honest, it shouldn’t be so. Unfortunately, in the world today, that's how things are. Many people are deprived of freedom of expression, freedom of speech, and other important rights.

Life is designed with principles, and once those principles are broken, consequences will surely follow. This week, in Week 178 of the AfriTunes Weekly Prompt, I rendered a song of worship to God by Solomon Lange titled "Mai Girma."

This song is in both Hausa and English, and it's a deep expression of worship, giving God His rightful place, not struggling or trying to drag power with Him. He is the highest and the strongest. No man can stand His power.

Look at Pharaoh in the Bible he tried to challenge God's authority. But the Lord proved to him that He owns the heavens and the earth. He made nature obey Him, and when the time came, He took back the life He had given. Pharaoh didn’t notice at first that there was someone greater than him. He was busy bragging, thinking he could do all things and issue commands like he was above everyone. But he was terribly disappointed and in the end, he was destroyed.

For us to live long and enjoy prosperity, we must learn to worship and obey God at all times. Also, we should respect those ahead of us. By doing this, our days will be long upon the earth.

Thank you for taking the time to go through my post. Remain blessed, fam.

Lyrics: Mai Girma by Solomon Lange

oh o ooh oh o ho o oh oh
From the rising of the sun To the setting of the same
I will lift my voice and sing of the mercies of the lord
Mai Girma Mai Girma ne kai
mai mulki Almasihu
babu wani kamar da kai
babu wani kamar da kai
Mai Girma Mai Girma ne kai
Mai Girma Mai Girma ne kai
karbi sujada karbi daukaka
karbi yabo o uba ye e eh
