Hello, good day everyone, and welcome to my blog. My name is @oluthomas. I want to specially appreciate every one of you for your time and patience. Despite my limitations, you still create time to visit my page, and for that, I sincerely say a big thank you. You truly deserve your flowers 🌸.

I would also like to appreciate the community for their immense support whenever we post. They take out time to go through our posts and ensure that we follow community standards. That alone deserves a loud applause 👏.

We are currently in Week 171, Round 3 of the Hive Music Festival Weekly Prompt Contest, and so far, there have been many amazing entries. It is beautiful to see how members of the community are putting in great effort to come up with something meaningful and inspiring. I said to myself that I would not be left out, so I decided to do a rendition of a song by K-String, titled “Rahama / Mercy.”
The song is both in English and Hausa, and it is centered on the mercy of God. There comes a point in life when one gets to the end of himself or herself, when there seems to be nothing else to do but to ask for mercy. When the road seems unending, efforts are overwhelming, and yet no results are showing, that is the time to cry out for God’s mercy.
The prayer for mercy is not necessarily because one has sinned or done something wrong, but because there are areas where we need God’s divine intervention, areas we may not even be aware of. We need Him to step in, help us, and show us mercy. Even when someone is living a righteous life, mercy still speaks for such a person. As the Word of the Lord says, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
It is not by our works or efforts that God chooses to show us mercy, but by His will. Mercy is not something we fight for; it is something we humbly ask for, and God, in His love, grants it.

Even among humans, there are times when you ask for mercy and receive it not because of what you did, but because the person chose to show you mercy and remember you.

So this is my prayer for every one of us: May the mercy of God locate us, solve the issues that seem overwhelming, and bring peace where there is worry. I see the Lord coming through for us, leading us into paths of peace, and giving us rest on every side.
