O mio babbino caro/ 「私のお父さん」

I think you might get bored if I write only about my illness, so I'll talk about something else every once in a while - music. Or rather, opera.

This is the aria "O mio babbino caro" from Giacomo Puccini's opera "Gianni Schicchi." This is a famous aria, and the soprano Maria Callas, who I've posted here, is also known as a diva and is a legend.

"Dear my father, I love him. I want to go to Porta Rossa and buy a ring. If it doesn't come true, I'll head to Ponte Vecchio. I'll throw myself in the river. Why can't I do anything? Let me die, father." That's basically what it goes like.

This is my latest obsession. Very beautiful opera.

病気のことばかり書くとうんざりされると思うので、たまには別のこと、音楽の話でもします。というか、オペラの話です。

ジャコモ・プッチーニのオペラ「ジャンニ・スキッキ」からアリア「私のお父さん」です。これは名高いアリアでここに貼ったソプラノのマリア・カラスはディーヴァとも呼ばれ、レジェンドになっている人です。

「親愛なる私のお父さん、私は彼が好きなの　ポルタ・ロッサに行き、指輪を買いたい　もしもかなわないなら、向かうはポンテ・ヴェッキオ　河に身を投げる　なぜ何も出来ないの　死なせて　父よ」だいたいこういう内容です。

これは最近のマイブームです。とってもきれいなオペラ。
