RE: Fvck AI
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
I'm not a fan of AI myself, and haven't really enjoyed most of the art, music, or videos that I've seen made with it.
I do know a guy, however, who uses AI as a consultant sometimes when he's stuck, lyrically or musically, and he claims that it can be very useful for leading him to new ideas.
I don't have the same vitriol for this type of use as I do for things that are totally AI produced, but I still don't see it as a viable replacement for human collaboration... yet.
Unfortunately, the fact that we use AI for the wrong things is a problem with people, not with the AI itself, so it's unlikely to go away any time soon.

The fact is that being stuck when doing some kind of work is part of the process and the final result is influenced by how you manage to unblock yourself and solve the issue. In a creative composition, managing to create a piece of art despite problems and blocks is the artistic part itself.
It's obviously different if we are talking about a job where you are paid to get a result and getting unstuck is just work, and that's what AI should be used for.
