Hoy les traigo un nuevo post bastante genial, esta vez de una nueva entrega de mi lista de canciones que he ido agregando a mi playlist, ya llegando a la parte 11, luego de muchísimo tiempo sin traerles estas listas. Luego de varios meses sin traerles posts de este estilo, quise compartirles un poco sobre la nueva música que he encontrado. Esta vez quiero cambiar un poco el formato, ya que me quiero enfocar más en lo que me hacen sentir las canciones que me gustan. Estoy muy contenta de volver a crear contenido como antes y que mejor manera que mostrarles un poco de mis gustos musicales y recomendarles música, comencemos!
Hello again! Today I’m come to you with a pretty awesome new post—this time, it’s another installment of my list of songs I’ve been adding to my playlist. We’re already up to Part 11, after a really long time without sharing these lists with you. After several months without posting anything like this, I wanted to share a little bit about the new music I’ve discovered. This time I want to change the format a bit, since I want to focus more on how the songs I like make me feel. I’m really happy to be creating content again like I used to, and what better way than to show you a little bit of my musical tastes and recommend some music to you. Let’s go!
More Than a Feeling - Boston
Esta canción es de la banda estadounidense Boston y fue lanzada en el año 1976. Me encanta esta canción desde hace años, he comentado en ocasiones anteriores que mis padres suelen escuchar música de su época, sobre todo mi papá que creció con rock clásico y me traspasó ese gusto a mí. Gracias a eso conozco muchas canciones de décadas pasadas, aunque en este caso, la canción siempre ha estado en mi vida, ya que la conozco de varias películas como Madagascar o Herbie a Toda Marcha. La letra me gusta mucho, dedicada a una chica llamada Marianne y explicando como es más que un sentimiento cuando escucha una vieja canción que solía tocar y empieza a soñar con esa chica viendo alejarse, siendo una chica que solía conocer, Siendo una canción melancólica pero con un ritmo y armonía muy contagiosa, es una canción que definitivamente tenía que estar en mi playlist.

I’ve loved this song for years; I’ve mentioned before that my parents often listen to music from their era, especially my dad, who grew up with classic rock and passed that taste on to me. Thanks to that, I know a lot of songs from past decades, although in this case, the song has always been a part of my life, since I’ve heard it in several movies like Madagascar or Herbie Fully Loaded. I really like the lyrics, which are dedicated to a girl named Marianne and describe how it’s more than just a feeling when he hears an old song he used to play and starts dreaming of that girl walking away, a girl he used to know. It’s a melancholic song but with a very catchy rhythm and harmony, it’s a song that definitely had to be on my playlist.

Esta canción es del cantante británico Rod Stewart y fue lanzada en el año 1981. Las canciones de la década de los 80s me parecen fascinantes, son diferentes entre sí pero que a su vez pueden distinguirse, y esta es una de ellas. Es una canción que al escucharla realmente me pone feliz y de buen humor, la conocía desde hace tiempo por mis padres, sin embargo hace poco la escuché en casa de mi novio y la recordé con mucho cariño, y además, la agregué a mi playlist porque de verdad me encanta. La letra habla de una pareja de jóvenes que andan por la vida en busca de su propia felicidad, viajando y haciendo maletas siendo libres, donde no dejan que los menosprecien y no respeten sus puntos de vista, ya que el tiempo está de su lado. Muestra como los jóvenes tienen que buscar sus propio camino y aprender de ello, me encanta esta canción y definitivamente la tenía que agregar a mi lista dw reproducción.

I find songs from the 80s fascinating; they’re all different from one another yet still stand out on their own, and this is one of them. It’s a song that really makes me happy and puts me in a good mood when I listen to it. I’d known it for a long time through my parents, but recently I heard it at my boyfriend’s house and remembered it fondly. Plus, I added it to my playlist because I truly love it. The lyrics are about a young couple going through life in search of their own happiness, traveling and packing their bags while living freely, refusing to let anyone look down on them or disregard their views, since time is on their side. It shows how young people have to find their own path and learn from it. I love this song and definitely had to add it to my playlist.
Little Lies - Fleetwood Mac
Esta canción es de la banda británico-americana Fleetwood Mac y fue lanzada en el año 1987. Esta banda a mi me parece fascinante, hace relativamente poco indagué en su historia y sobre todo en sus problemas internos, donde las parejas que formaban parte de la banda estaban en proceso de separación mientras creaban música y hacían giras, a su vez de escribir canciones que parecen ser indirectas entre ellos. Dejando eso a un lado, me encantan gran parte de sus canciones, es difícil escoger cual de todas sus canciones me gusta más, pero hoy decidí hablar de esta canción de ellos. La melodía me encanta, es una cancón de rock clásico bastante amena pero con sentimiento. La letra trata de alguien que parece que quiere dar vuelta a la página para volver atrás para reordenar su vida, viendo que está en una relación que no da para más, pero que aún así pide que le digan mentiras. Adoro las voces de los integrantes de la banda, siempre es mi parte favorita de ellos, el estribillo es pegajoso y es una muy buena canción, definitivamente tenía que estar en mi playlist.

Setting that aside, I love most of their songs, it’s hard to pick a favorite, but today I decided to talk about this one. I love the melody, it’s a classic rock song that’s both catchy and heartfelt. The lyrics are about someone who seems to want to turn the page, go back, and get their life in order, realizing they’re in a relationship that’s going nowhere, but who still asks to be told lies. I adore the band members’ voices, it’s always my favorite part of them. The chorus is catchy, and it’s a really good song; it definitely had to be on my playlist.
