Concierto de final de temporada con sorpresa incluída💍♥️ [Eng&Esp]
Hola amigos de Hive y amantes de la música, espero estén muy bien. Hoy quiero contarles mi experiencia en un concierto coral sinfónico que tuvo muchas sorpresas y momentos emotivos. Fue un día que siempre recordaré.
Hello friends of Hive and music lovers, I hope you are very well. Today I want to tell you about my experience in a symphonic choral concert that had many surprises and emotional moments. It was a day I will always remember.
Hace unos días ví en las redes sociales un flyer con la información de un concierto de final de temporada del Coro Sinfónico de Adultos de mi ciudad Cantaura. Desde que lo ví supe que tenía que asistir, primero porque ya había escuchado el coro antes y me había gustado mucho y sabía que como era un concierto de final de temporada iba a estar mucho mejor, y segundo porque el teatro donde se realizaría el concierto era mi antigua casa, ya que yo pertenecía a la orquesta sinfónica juvenil de Cantaura en la que dure más de 6 años tocando violín, así que sentía la necesidad de reencontrarme con tantos conocidos y apoyar a las nuevas generaciones de músicos que están haciendo un trabajo increíble.
A few days ago I saw on social networks a flyer with the information of a concert of the end of the season of the Adult Symphonic Choir of my city Cantaura. Since I saw it I knew I had to attend, first because I had heard the choir before and I had liked it a lot and I knew that since it was an end of season concert it was going to be much better, and second because the theater where the concert would be held was my old home, since I belonged to the youth symphony orchestra of Cantaura in which I lasted more than 6 years playing violin, so I felt the need to reconnect with so many acquaintances and support the new generations of musicians who are doing an incredible job.
Llegó el día y asistí al teatro con mi prima y una amiga. Nada más con entrar a los espacios del teatro se vinieron a mi memoria muchísimos momentos que viví en el. Además tengo que destacar lo hermoso que es el Teatro Alfredo Sadel de Cantaura, sin duda es una obra de alta infraestructura que muchas ciudades quisieran tener y que afortunadamente la tenemos en nuestra ciudad. Estuvimos un rato en el lobby del teatro esperando que se abrieran las puertas de la sala para el inicio del concierto. Asistieron pocas personas, mayoritariamente familiares y amigos de los músicos y coralistas, y aveces pienso en la poca difusión que tienen estas actividades en mi ciudad y la apatía de las personas para asistir a estos eventos. En cualquier país del mundo, un concierto de esa magnitud sería muy costoso y se venderían las entradas de forma muy rápida, pero aquí que es gratis, la gente no asiste.
The day arrived and I went to the theater with my cousin and a friend. Just by entering the spaces of the theater many moments that I lived in it came to my memory. I also have to emphasize how beautiful the Alfredo Sadel Theater of Cantaura is, it is undoubtedly a work of high infrastructure that many cities would like to have and fortunately we have it in our city. We were for a while in the lobby of the theater waiting for the doors to open for the concert to begin. Few people attended, mostly family and friends of the musicians and choristers, and sometimes I think about the little diffusion that these activities have in my city and the apathy of the people to attend these events. In any country in the world, a concert of this magnitude would be very expensive and tickets would be sold very quickly, but here it is free, people do not attend.
Se abrieron las puertas de la sala y entramos para ocupar nuestros asientos. Desde que comenzó el concierto todo fue muy emotivo. La moderadora dió unas bonitas palabras e hizo un repaso de lo que ha sido el trabajo del coro a través de la está temporada 2022-2023. El coro hizo entrada a la sala en medio de aplausos, de igual forma hizo entrada la orquesta de camara de la ciudad del El Tigre y en compañía de varios músicos de Cantaura.
The doors of the hall opened and we entered to take our seats. From the moment the concert began everything was very emotional. The moderator gave some beautiful words and made a review of what has been the work of the choir throughout this season 2022-2023. The choir entered the hall amidst applause, as well as the chamber orchestra from the city of El Tigre and several musicians from Cantaura.
El repertorio fue muy variado y especial, ya que hubieron 3 solistas, una contraalto y dos sopranos, que de manera individual nos deleitaron de buena manera. También fue muy especial porque dos mujeres tuvieron la oportunidad de dirigir el coro y la orquesta y siento que fue un momento icónico. Cómo parte de los agradecimientos del coro, se hicieron entregada de reconocimientos a patrocinantes y colaboradores, que han ayudado durante toda la temporada al coro en sus diversas actividades.
The repertoire was very varied and special, as there were 3 soloists, a countertenor and two sopranos, who individually delighted us in a good way. It was also very special because two women had the opportunity to conduct the choir and the orchestra and I feel it was an iconic moment. As part of the choir's acknowledgements, recognition was given to sponsors and collaborators, who have helped the choir throughout the season in its various activities.
Luego de esto llegó uno de los momentos más emotivos y que sin duda me hicieron poner la piel de gallina. Hace unas semanas falleció una destacada percusionista de la orquesta y que tan solo unos días atrás había acompañado al coro en un concierto sacro. Así que le rindieron un merecido homenaje. Pasaron en pantalla gigante un hermoso video de muchas fotografías de ella, fue algo muy emotivo y al final del video el director agarro una rosa blanca y la coloco en los tímpanos (instrumento que ella más tocaba) la moderadora pidió un minuto de aplausos y todos nos pusimos de pie para aplaudir a una persona que nos regaló mucho y que se nos fue muy pronto. Todo los músicos de percusión hicieron sonar los instrumentos durante ese minuto y fue inevitable no derramar lágrimas en medio de esa escena tan emotiva.
After this came one of the most emotional moments that undoubtedly gave me goose bumps. A few weeks ago an outstanding percussionist of the orchestra passed away, who had accompanied the choir in a sacred concert only a few days before. So they paid her a well-deserved tribute. At the end of the video the director took a white rose and placed it on the eardrums (the instrument she played the most). The moderator asked for a minute of applause and we all stood up to applaud a person who gave us so much and who left us so soon. All the percussion musicians played their instruments during that minute and it was inevitable not to shed tears in the middle of such an emotional scene.
Después de ese momento triste vino uno muy feliz. Así es la vida. La moderadora nos dijo que habría una sorpresa muy especial, estábamos todos a la espectativa. La orquesta empezó a tocar el vals de las flores, obra que a mí me encanta muchísimo porque durante varios años toque el cascanueces en acompañamiento del ballet en ese mismo teatro. Casi finalizando el vals de las flores, entro en escena el director del coro y empezó a dar unas palabras, estaba hablando de la relación de más de 4 años que llevaba con una de las coralistas y de todo lo que habían vivido juntos y que el vals de las flores era una obra que los unía a los dos y que por eso decidió meterla en el repertorio del concierto para tenerla de fondo musical para hacer lo que iba a hacer. De repente llamó a Carolina su novia al centro del escenario y sacó una cajita y se puso de rodillas y le pidió matrimonio. Todo el teatro empezó a aplaudir y a gritar por ese bonito momento que estábamos viviendo. La novia dijo que sí y empezaron los aplausos una vez mas. Fue algo muy bonito. Creo que nunca en mi vida había asistido a una propuesta de matrimonio.
After that sad moment came a very happy one. That's life. The moderator told us that there would be a very special surprise, we were all waiting in anticipation. The orchestra began to play the waltz of the flowers, a piece that I love very much because for several years I played the nutcracker in accompaniment of the ballet in that same theater. Almost at the end of the waltz of the flowers, the choir director came on stage and began to give a few words, he was talking about the relationship of more than 4 years that he had with one of the choristers and everything they had lived together and that the waltz of the flowers was a work that united them both and that is why he decided to put it in the repertoire of the concert to have it as a musical background to do what he was going to do. Suddenly he called Carolina, his girlfriend, to the center of the stage and took out a little box and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. The whole theater started clapping and shouting for this beautiful moment we were living. The bride said yes and the applause started once again. It was a very beautiful thing. I don't think I had ever attended a marriage proposal in my life.
Para finalizar el concierto y una noche de muchas emociones encontradas, el coro y la orquesta interpretaron el O Fortuna de la obra Carmina Burana. Fue el cierre preciso que necesitaba este concierto. De verdad que lo hicieron muy bien y nos llenaron de mucha más emoción. Agradezco mucho a la vida de poder asistir y vivir ese momento. Así que te invito a tí que me estás leyendo, a qué te motives y asistas a más eventos culturales, detrás de eso hay mucho trabajo y esfuerzo y ellos solo piden que asistas y apoyes el trabajo.
To end the concert and a night of many mixed emotions, the choir and orchestra performed the O Fortuna from the work Carmina Burana. It was the precise closure that this concert needed. They really did it very well and filled us with much more emotion. I am very grateful to life for being able to attend and live that moment. So I invite you, who are reading this, to motivate yourself and attend more cultural events, behind this there is a lot of work and effort and they only ask you to attend and support the work.

What a blessing it is to have high quality cultural spaces of great beauty. It is a pity that, as you rightly mention, this type of activities do not generally count, in our country, and for multiple reasons, with the massive participation of people and especially of the youth that now rises.
The sort of elitist aura that has been created around these musical activities, and the lack of dissemination in the middle and lower social strata, has had a negative impact over time. However, many more recent efforts in our musical history, such as that of maestro Abreu, have undoubtedly opened up hope for our country.
I hope that such experiences will continue to be repeated and that you will be able to further enrich your musical life and culture in general.

Que gran bendición es contar con espacios culturales de alta calidad y de gran belleza. Es una lástima que, como bien mencionas, este tipo de actividades no cuente por lo general, en nuestro país, y por múltiples razones, con la participación masiva de las personas y sobre todo de la juventud que ahora se levanta.
Esa especie de aura elitesca que se vino creando sobre estas actividades musicales, y la poca difusión en los estratos sociales medios y bajos, ha calado mucho negativamente através del tiempo. Sin embargo, muchos esfuerzos más recientes dentro de nuestra historia musical, como el del maestro Abreu, han abierto, sin dudas, una esperanza para nuestro país.
Espero que ese tipo de experiencias se sigan repitiendo y puedas seguir enriqueciendo, aún mas, tu vida musical y cultura en general.
