The Oasis Sanctuary is always full of music. My favorite genres; downtempo house, jazz-funk, and what passes as “trip-hop” these days. Kind of quirky to some, but I don’t think so. I have become conditioned.

I suspect that this music is Artificially generated. No track listings. I still like it. And it may not be AI. But there are some tells. On some of these mixes the bass lines have gotten familiar to the point of predictability.

Right at the turn of the last century was the “Age of the Bedroom producer.” These tech-savvy musicians would make lovely tracks and maybe they would find a vocalist to fit into their visions and maybe shop the track around to a small record label, and next thing you knew you had this dreamy ethereal compilation of tracks by artists no one had ever heard of. To this day I cannot remember any of the artists’ names. I still hear some of those tracks showing up in mixes online. I still like them.

There’s this weird “cognitive dissonance” – like a splinter in my mind – that has got your humble vagabond asking – “Should I like this stuff … if it’s AI?” Even as the vessel sways to the lilting melodies and sublime female vocals. I like it. But “should” I like it. That’s kind of a dumb question that can only be asked in an era such as this.

Ha ha.

I like this woman. But “should” I like her? We really don’t have any control over that do we? We can however, control – [or so we think] – what comes next.

“Why are you sitting so far away?”

As far as this observer is concerned AI can do anything but come alive, love, hate, pay me [but I may be wrong about that in a few years] and ??? Well. Anyway.

My suspicion is that these mixes are being created by musician-producers who know everything about music except how to play it. So they describe it, tweak it, and let AI do the rest.

It’s really good too. Whoever is programming the vocals has my number. But like I say, the bass lines on some of them are lacking. The lyrics get kind of tired after a while too. There are definitely some noir themes and elementary lyrics in the midnight mix I’m listening to now.

There is definitely going to be a gap between Beyonce, Swift and whoever else got in before the AI curtain dropped and whatever comes next.

Does anybody ever have to sing again?

1. We engage in risk management without really knowing it. But now that we have realized this, what will change? And how? Nope. Not today.

2. We play around with exponential thinking. We did a 52-day series on manifesting exponentially. It was a challenge. Anyway - We accept and gnow the ALL affects us, exponentially thinking what impacts us directly would be a 1 to 1 “degree” - we must deal with that immediately. Hope I don’t forget this one. Still pending.

We had to prioritize tonight. This blog is low on the list.
