Música en el Barrio de San Millán, Puerto Cabello Estado Carabobo.

comienzo por saludarlos e invitarlos que me acompañen en este recorrido, hoy estaremos en el Barrio de San Millán en Puerto Cabello Estado Carabobo. Es una comunidad de ancestros Curazoleños,allí se acentaron negros libres venidos de Curazao a trabajar en las haciendas de la zona,trajeron su cultura que se fusionó con el blanco criollo y el indígena, de alli surgen las manifestaciones culturales que les voy a relatar, en la imagen estamos en la esquina de los tres clavos, así le llaman ellos.

I begin by greeting you and inviting you to join me on this tour, today we will be in the neighborhood of San Millan in Puerto Cabello Carabobo State. It is a community of Curazoleño ancestors, there settled free blacks who came from Curaçao to work on the farms in the area, they brought their culture that merged with the white Creole and the indigenous, from there arise the cultural manifestations that I will relate, in the image we are in the corner of the three nails, so they call it.

Este sr.que me acompaña es Hernan Villanueva,habitante nacido en este barrio de San Millán, cultor ( defensor de las tradiciones) músico, cantante y director de la agrupación Tambores de San Millán,nos cuenta que está orgulloso de que la vida le allá dado la oportunidad de ser custodio de las tradiciones de San Millán que son: el baile de la hamaca,el baile de la burra y el toro, diablos danzantes de San Millán,las fiestas de San Juan bautista,y las nuevas tendencias musicales impulsadas por las nuevas generaciones.

The man who accompanies me is Hernan Villanueva, an inhabitant born in this neighborhood of San Millan, cultor (defender of the traditions) musician, singer and director of the group Tambores de San Millan, tells us that he is proud that life has given him the opportunity to be custodian of the traditions of San Millan which are: the dance of the hammock, the dance of the donkey and the bull, the dancing devils of San Millan, the festivities of San Juan Bautista, and the new musical trends driven by the new generations.

Todas estas manifestaciones tiene su asiento en la casa del tambor, este es el lugar donde están los santos, san Benito, san Juan, el Niño Jesús ,y dónde las cofradias guardan sus trajes como la de los diablos danzantes, es un lugar de comunión, se dictan talleres de música ,pintura,danza y se dan conversatorios, están integrados en una ruta turística que en tiempos de las festividades les dan recorridos a los visitantes,ellos están enclavados en en centro de la ciudad portuaria de Puerto Cabello, Estado Carabobo - Venezuela.
