Music Inspired; Hope - Dreem-WOTW S3 R3 contest

(Edited)

Music is life; however, what I look out for more in music is the lyrics than the sound. Although I love good sound in music as well, the lyrics are what affect my choice of music the most. I want to get the message that the artist is passing along. I want to reflect on the wording and pick value from the song. Sometimes, the sound of music may not be all that lovely, but once the lyrics connect to me and remain meaningful, then it influences my choice of song.

In our lonely moments, music provides comfort and brings delight to our happy moments. It has the power to influence our moods, our thoughts, and our feelings; it indeed serves as an emotional catalyst. I have found myself in a realm where I get lost in the spirit, communicating with myself and my maker through this favourite song of mine called "Jehovah Overdo" by CHIDINMA.

A song by Chidinma

The first Lyrics..
There is nothing You cannot do Protocol Breaker! There is nothing You cannot do
Jehovah overdo, etc
.

Why did I choose this music as my favourite song?

Jehovah Overdo is a gospel song that reminds us that God is our protocol breaker. He doesn't follow procedures when he wants to show you mercy. He steps into your case, wipes away your tears, rolls away mountains before you, calms down every raging storm, and showers you with His love. I found this song so impactful on my life. It moves me deeply, emotionally, and spiritually each time I reflect on the wording. It gives me hope when I feel hopeless in some situations in my life. It just resonates with what's going on in my life currently, and I will briefly tell you a story about it.

My first son has been having this health challenge since he was 4 years old. He is currently 8 years old, and so far, we have visited many hospitals, seen paediatricians and neurologists, and the treatment they suggested for him happens to be a 50/50 kind of treatment. This means that if anything goes wrong, I will lose my son, and of course they made me know that I must sign for the procedure before they began. They went ahead to explain the side effects of the same procedure they planned for him, and sincerely, it looks scary. I got lost in thought and imagined losing my first fruit, my womb opener, to this particular health challenge. It's been a whole lot of stress, emotional trauma, and resources managing his health all these years. At a point, I took the decision to invite my maker to take over his health challenge, as my strength kept falling, and the doctor's kind of treatment kept weighing me down. Then one day, I heard of this song, Jehovah Overdo, by Chidima, and the wording connected to what I had been going through. I keyed into the music, and it gave me hope and restored my wondering soul.

The image is mine

I got my music gadgets and could play this song repeatedly for hours, filled with a positive mindset while expecting God to come through for me. He is faithful and can make all things possible. I will keep holding him by his words until he perfects all that concerns me.

When I hear things like this, I often look up to God because he knows the beginning and the end. He knows when your son was about to be formed in your womb, he knows his destiny and everything that concerns him. So I believe strongly on his case!

This music boosts the spirit man in us by making them reverence the maker of heaven and earth, there is absolutely nothing that God can't do! I trust I him for a miracle and I pray he perfects those imperfections.
