Weekend Time With Some Drum & Bass
You might recognise that fine specimen of a man you see on the cover photo as being a slightly younger Nicky H - and thankfully, I can still fit in to those clothes despite being a few years older 😃
This was in happier times travelling across the Whitsunday Islands in Australia in 2015 as part of an adventure tour that went down the whole East Coast.
Although there is a bit of filtering going on, the water really is that shade of blue and it's stunning!
The sand is so fine that some members of our group brought their jewelry with them to polish it by rubbing the sand on it. They were from L.A. so it seemed like an expensive trip to get your jewelry polished but each to their own!
Either way, the picture seemed to be a perfect fit for this track which uses vocals from the talented Kymberley Myles.
She recorded a sound pack that I bought from the Audio Animals shop, which is where I get my music mastered (i.e. getting the final volumes maximised in the track).
The melody I created with the piano and strings is actually inspired from one of my favourite science television series called Horizon on the BBC, which filled me with wonder about the universe.
This tune went down a treat when it was first made public which was amazing to experience! Now it's available everywhere, it's still getting some plays so let's celebrate making it through the first work week of the year (although I've been ill the last couple of days so I guess next week will be a bigger test!)
P.S. I've got another mix on the way, watch this space!
Of course you can still fit into them! They're stretchy! 😂 That's why I quit wearing pajamas during the work day, in fact.
Are you planning to go back to Australia any time?
God bless elastic/sporty clothing 😂 Yeah bad habits can form if you just stay in your bed clothes when work from home, or just lounge around in them all day - that's a full on lazy day!
I would love to go back to Aus and finish seeing the main places out there but would choose NZ over it. However, there's other places to be explored like South America & Africa too - we'll just see how these travel restrictions are lifted going forward as some countries are still being strict.
Oh yeah, there are a lot of places in South America that would be great to visit. Machu Picchu is right on top of that list!
