Time For A Space Walk, Drum & Bass Style

Our journey through the space themed drum & bass post series continues with today's share called Space Walk.

The cover art that @gabrielatravels put together for this one is actually terrifying and that was the whole point behind this tune, a bit of darkness shining through and Gabriela hit the mark once again with her skills.

I didn't initially intend to make a "music video" but as I was rummaging through stock videos from the software I use, it kinda wrote itself.

The story of an astronauts worst nightmare as they get cut adrift from their spaceship doing one of the coolest, yet scariest walks imaginable - the Space Walk!

Trying my best to depict this nightmare in the video, it does thankfully turn out to be just a bad dream and not the real deal.

In the dream, our astronaut somehow loses the chord that connects her to her spaceship and ends up flying through the darkness of space, through vast asteroid belts before blacking out and waking up on another planet.

Miraculously, there is another ship that manages to fly her off the baron red planet and back to more familiar territory...

Phew... what a dream!

Hehe, thanks man! Though I wish I had the time to create new tunes daily but I'm definitely sharing daily tunes from this year and from the archive. New tunes that I'm working on are thrown in to the mix but are taking a little time to get to the finishing stages!

I'm impressed with that spacesuit being able to either store that much oxygen or pull it from the atmosphere and survive planet entry XD

I'm remminded of English class in primary school where after yet another creative writing assignment the teacher was like AND DON'T END WITH AND THEN I WOKE UP AND IT HAD ALL BEEN A DREAM XD

I guess a lot of my classmates had been doing that when trying to end the story

Don't you love it when stories write themselves :)

Haha, it's a new mimetic polyalloy fabric for the space suit, can withstand anything 😃

LOL! Well, hopefully your teacher doesn't stop by this post and video, she might have nightmares herself (damn, did it again)!

I agree with you about when stories write themselves! It's a great feeling when the pieces just fall in to place. When it happens with making a tune, it feels effortless but really enjoyable and therapeutic!
