Reliving Some More Trance Tunes

We've mixed it up a little bit the last few posts and today, we're continuing on with the trance (or maybe it's house) tunes from the Clouds of Memories EP.

This was an EP released a couple of years ago as we were coming out of the worst of the lockdowns in the UK and it's a hat tip to the good old days when things were more free-spirited.

Two of the main genres I listened to growing up were trance and house as I was truly sinking my teeth in to the Ministry of Sound compilations.

I loved the 4 to the floor driving beats and basslines of those tunes and the feelgood factor they brought.

Some tunes just seemed to elevate you with the synths and powerful melodies on those big leads!

And that's what today's tune is also about - called the "End of an Era", it's got a simpler melody to it and has the usual DJ mix-friendly intros and outros from this style of music.

For me, the album versions (i.e. non-radio edits) were the better versions as I enjoyed hearing the tunes build up all the way from the beginning. The radio edits would be much shorter and so less time to build and tell the story.

Once again, @gabrielatravels did an awesome job on the artwork with the clouds in the ice cream :)
