New Drum & Bass Tune Coming Along Nicely

The other day I shared a tune I'd started which was pretty rough sounding but had a great energy about it, there's definitely some punch in this one.

When you start getting in to a production as a producer, it's very difficult to let it go until you have "satisfied the itch" so to speak!

Here was what that initial upload sounded like:

I mentioned in the post a few days ago that I wasn't too happy with a few things, the intro and piano being a couple of things.

So in the latest version, I've been working on getting that intro sounding a little bit cleaner, along with a few more progressions on the drum patterns to give a little more variety and a fast paced feel.

There have also been some more subtle changes to make the kick drum and snare a little cleaner with a process known as "side-chaining", where you duck the volume of some of the sounds (e.g. sub bass, bass) to reduce any clashes with the lower frequencies.

I've not put any transition effects, whooshes or other sounds in yet but will probably try to keep those as minimal as I can to provide more impact with drops and change up in the drum patterns.

Definitely think it's coming along nicely, hopefully have something finalised by the end of the week :)
