Alright, so you may have remembered a tune I've been working on recently and have been sharing the progress of called "Decompress"...

I wasn't overly happy with the title, I only called it that as I was looking for just "a word" and literally picked the first one I could find and as I was reading about some mental health stuff, that was there!

For a reminder of the work in progress from a week or so ago, here's where I got up to:

Smile

Anyway, the tune is now called "Smile" as I found some old vocal sample packs I'd bought a looooong time ago and never used. As I have the licence for them now, I thought I'd chuck them in and it definitely adds a new element to the tune!

As it's a fun drum & bass track about ravers shared love for dnb, the lyrics, which are nothing more than a few phrases, beautifully sung by Jenny Jones are:

I put on quite a few effects on the vocals to give it a little bit of variation - a lot of dnb tracks from when I first started listening in had these short vocal samples in with delay and reverb on so it's a tip to my influences :)

Now, it seems that Soundcloud is being a complete sh**head and not working properly so I'll have to do this the long way around and upload the clip to YouTube in a video and share with you.
