Drum & Bass Stargazing

Tucked away in the DnB Universe is a tune from an EP that got featured 4 times on BBC Introducing (Humberside) thanks to a fun collaboration with DaveyHub & Paul Infrasonic.

That EP is a 4 part thriller called Stargazing.

The edit that got featured on BBC Introducing was a hybrid between DaveyHub's original and my "Dark Matter" DnB remix.

The melodic, chilled vibes of the guitar welcomes you in to the track and the space choir sounds transport your mind up towards the heavens.

For the remix, I wanted to use a deep bassline that rumbled through nicely to accompany that guitar but created a "hat tip" to the original in the middle section, which is a little more chilled out.

I remember when I first played this one out in a mix and blended it in with a Tokyo Prose tune. It worked so well that I got sucked in to the music and almost forgot to flip the fader out on the cue point haha!

I guess that's what Stargazing does to you...

Haha thank you, it was a very cool experience when the mixing happened but not quite so when I realised I was livestreaming :D
