Drum & Bass Inspired By The Canadian Rockies

How with the what now?
Yeah that's right folks! A lot of my tunes are inspired from various life events I've been through and as I've traveled as much as I can when I've been able to, there are a few tracks that are inspired by places I've visited.
If you have been to the Canadian Rockies and visited "Meadows in the Park Skyway", you might recognise the cover picture of this blog.
I took it on my last day of travelling in 2015 when I spent over 50 days travelling across USA and Canada.
Despite the snow-capped mountains serene impression of waves splashing across the surface of the sea, the three of us fools who stayed at the top were being hounded by a hangry mob of mosquitos!
This was part of an adventure tour and the rest of the group weren't feeling quite as adventurous to stay with the mozzie horde!
For the three musketeers though, it was worth it to enjoy the views for a while longer... well, we had the keys for the bus so those that ran back down a second after seeing the views had to wait for us...
And so they did... all 8 of them in some stinky wood cabin loo which had a greenhouse like atmosphere in! They took more selfies in that toilet than they did at the top overlooking that beautiful valley.
I think I got the better deal there 😉
So this tune and photo is a hat tip to what was a pretty epic 50 day trip, the serene nature of the track reflecting the serene nature of that last viewpoint in the Canadian Rockies trip - enjoy!

Nice... Ideal for when I'm writing these posts.
Thanks man! I'm glad it provided you with some background ambience!
This is the kind of sound that I love.
Just out of curiousity can you see me pretty much stalking you on Spotify as I add probably most of the tracks you've been putting on here there if it's on there XD
Why did they hang out inside a toilet? o_O
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed this one! Haha, I can't see specific details on my Spotify artists but can see that there's 10 tracks getting saved over the last month - I guess that's you :D
As for why they didn't hang outside near the bus, I think the mosquitos followed them down there and it was too hot to stay outside so they hid in the toilet lol. What a way to spend your holiday that you paid for!
I haven't been keeping count and I'm too lazy to look but definnite non-zero chance there XD
Growing up in Calgary, the Rockies were an everyday view. I do miss them. Every now and then we'd drive into Banff just to go to lunch.
I really do miss them.
Meadows in the Park was also on our way when we'd drive out to Vancouver to visit family.
I really, really do miss those mountains.
Ah man, Banff is beautiful! We camped out when we visited there and there was a thunderstorm that passed in the night which was so loud but so awesome and powerful! I loved it!
It's a beautiful part of the world for sure, hope you get to go back there again and enjoy those mountains!
