Drum & Bass Dreamers

I was catching up with some friends the other night as we talked about what had happened in our lives over the last 10 years.

It got me thinking about what I'd like to have done differently and what there is still left to do in this short time we have.

Ultimately, it involves doing a lot more travelling and I'm starting to get the itch again after the last grand adventure out was back in 2019. I was grateful to have been able to do that trip to Australia and New Zealand!

As a result of that trip, I created a postcard of sound with the Travel Diaries EP and one of my favourite tracks from that was Dreamer.

The high energy from the start of this track captured the vibe of that trip, it really felt like a dream but I took every moment in!

Actually, this tune started out as an attempted remix of the 90s club hit "Dreamer" by Livin' Joy but in the end, I just sampled a bit of the vocals and did the rest myself.

The melody of the chords and "stabby" sounding synth is inspired from the chorus of that track and everything else just flowed nicely!
