Original

Seems I have picked up an unusual superpower to convert tunes from different genres into drum & bass and I'm all too happy to share them around the place!

When a fellow EMA crew mate shared a house track called "Circle of Stars", I was a little hypnotised by the bassline and that piano riff that cuts straight to the 90s.

Add to that the lovely female vocals and it's a great hands-up tune!

Conversion

As groovy as his original is, the temptation to convert this to a drum & bass tune was too great and I caved in - asking for the stems and seeing what I could come up with!

My usual process of trying to make the remixes is to keep as much of the original sounds as possible and re-imagine them in a slightly faster tempo, up to that magical 174BPM!

I think the only thing I took out was a synth that I couldn't get to fit in to the remix from the original but the rest should be fairly recognisable with the DJ mix-friendly intro/outro.

Unfortunately, I can't find my music project for this remix as it looks like I had over-written it soon after I sent the tune off for mastering so there is literally nothing more I can do to this track haha. Oh well, best just press play and enjoy it for it is :D
