Dance Weekends - DnB Mysteries

Wow, that's an old logo and this is an old tune that I hadn't heard in a long time! It randomly popped up in my channel on YouTube as I was browsing the release archive and it's got energy all the way through this one!

When I was releasing tunes on a label called Allowance Records some 7 or 8 years ago, this track called Mystery completed the 6 track EP called Tides of Time as I was a sentimental bum back in my 20s as well, making tunes about how the ocean of life has its own tides that move with the times.

Mystery is the acceptance of that fact and it's not all roses, you just got to get on your surfboard and ride the waves as they come towards you.

As I was heavily influenced by Robert Miles' style of music growing up, there are elements of his piano and string combinations that drove a lot of my earlier tunes before I started exploring other synths and sounds.

I still go back to using that combination of instruments from time to time as it really is a powerful combination.

Enjoy this high energy tune from the archives!

I remember using that font for a few things XD

That was a pretty good track, it's too early in the morning here (it's not actually that early in the morning, just too early in the morning for me after a late night/really early morning) so I'm going to blame that on the inability to initially identify the Robert Miles vibe but there is a non-zero chance I may have been like "oh yeh this sounds like something I like" without connecting things anyway XD

I am occasionally terrible with things like that, like I was fully aware for the entire week that I had two things on at the same time yesterday but it took me til the afternoon of the day before to realise that this might be a problem

Haha yeah that font is retro but it got me through the early parts of my producing "career"!

You'd probably recognise his track called "Children" it was an iconic one from the 90s :)
