Dance Weekend - DnB Overload

Just kidding, there's no such thing as DnB overload ๐Ÿ˜œ

Rather, that's the name of today's tune I'm sharing with you - it's been a while since I last aired this track called Overload so it's time to shine a light back on it again!

I actually started this one in the midst of a burnout and being overloaded at my fiat mining operation a few years back.

I'd like to say some lessons have been learned since then but it seems circles are my favourite shape as I have gone back around in one to being burned out from work overload!

Note to self: must do better - YOLO!

Despite the slightly harsher wobble effect I put on the bassline, this one has a nice atmospheric synth pad in the background to help roll things through.

I experimented a bit with putting a piano/key chord stab sample in, with a "wind" effect on the synth which is me trying to depict how the burnout effect took over - a little like brain fog.

One day I'll learn, but at least we got a dnb track out of it I guess!

I like the wobble effect! I might like it harsher than this tho... But that would suddenly change the genre I guess ๐Ÿ˜‚ DnB + Hardcore mixture... I think it can be a thing... Have I heard something like that before? I think it's a familiar feeling, but I can't recall anything lol.

Anyways, love the track ๐Ÿ˜œ

Thanks a lot man!

Mmm, maybe I should just go full hog on the next track I get a wobble on and see how that pans out. I remember trying to up the ante a little with this tune on that wobble but decided to stick with what I had done, seemed to work good enough :D

DnB + Hardcore is possibly a thing, maybe it's called something like Breakbeat Hardcore, it is on a similar vein to what you described!

Backsliding is a common thing that happenns when trying to change whatever because our brains are lazy little things and would much rather keep doing the familiar thing it doesn't have to think about than put in the hard yards doing a new thing even if the old thing is demonstrably bad XD

I have no idea what any of that stuff is, but it sounded good :D

I do love following people who start spouting jargon that I don't understand, reminds me of how other people feel when I'm spouting jargon they don't understand XD

I've not heard of the backsliding phrase before but it makes sense and nice to have 1 word to use to describe it as opposed to a long sentence :D

I'm starting to do the hard yards to get to where I want to be and re-training the part of the brain that got me into this mess. Feels like I'm telling myself off lol.

I've had to put up with the jargon spouting since I joined my new fiat mining operation last year, I feel like I'm the only one who talks English sometimes :D
