Brand New Chillout Track - The Grind

BOOM! Another tune has been released today from the Exploration EP as we settle down into a hypnotic chill out track, inspired by the daily grind we all go through during our various fiat mining operations!

When I first began production on this one, I was working through the night frantically during my PhD as that was when the equipment I needed to use wasn't being used by anyone else.

In fact, no-one else would be in the building, who is still doing analysis at 3am anyway? Oh yeah, final year students lol.

So when I had burned the end of both wicks, I recharged by starting this track.

It wasn't until the back end of last year that I finally decided to get this one finished off and although it isn't dnb, the tempo of the project was set to 174BPM lol

Would probably be more like 87BPM.

However, the drum pattern and hypnotic sounds of that seemingly "out of tune" synth lured me in when I came back to work on this and I'm glad I finished it!

So fitting as well as this first 3 months of the year are really taking its toll but that's all part of the grind!

As always, the artwork from @gabrielatravels captures the mood brilliantly with the silhouette figure at the front in darkness and you can make out the subtle hands on the head at the top of the artwork.
