The best way to share audio - Dropbox or Soundcloud?
I have been adding some of my sound library content to Dropbox & Soundcloud, as I can share selected files from there and wanted to see how they look when embedded into Ecency. Dropbox only appears to allow for link shares:
Which isn't great, I had hoped there was an embed much like Soundcloud, see below:
To be honest, I use Soundcloud a lot these days, as part of my toolkit for finding new artists and following those I know from Hive, there are quite a few of us on there, such as:
@steevc being the first person I met on this platform after I was introduced by someone else to it.
This is a recent example from @grapthar who divide their posts up between reviewing artists old and new, composing music, keeping a journal about it.
So I am going to keep my Soundcloud account going, as I've got a link between it and other music platforms, to share my own music further afield.
What do you use? Do you know of other Hive artists on Soundclouds, share away in the comments, I don't mind at all :-)

We do need more facility to embed media. Someone was asking about Bandcamp. I did a Soundcloud one yesterday, but it's not showing properly. It is a private track, but I am sure those worked before. The link still works. Actually it works in Ecency, but not in peakd. The projects need to collaborate on things like that.
It needs to be easy to share stuff here.

That’s a pain to be honest and a downside of multiple front-ends. I might do more videos and record the audio too. That way it’ll be shared on various sound platforms with a video to embed in the post, they are more likely to work in more places!!!

yea I wanted to share so many bandcamp tracks before, but alas. Only Youtube or Soundcloud hehe.
