Hive Sound Library might become "Music Technology"

I've been thinking about this project quite a lot over the last few weeks and whether it's even going to work in the longer term as a sound/sample library and I am not sure that my passion for that idea is shared all that much here on Hive. So far most of the posts I've written and other people have contributed relate more to the technology that we use to produce music and conduct sound design.
We have had some great contributions from people such as @ale.dri with his series on using different microphones for recording his drums.
I've been running a series on the iPad and AUv3 plugins, have written some posts on Ableton, Bitwig and more recently MAX MSP.
All of these posts have been more about the tech that we use to produce the work that we create.
I don't want to trash the sound library, better to call it a "Sample Library" or perhaps "Beats Library" because I still wish to continue uploading material to Samply, as that's a good way of sharing content on Hive that we can't host on Hive.
I am not sure whether I can rename a community once it's been going for awhile or whether it is easier to create a fresh one and freeze the old one. I am keen to know your thoughts on this folks, please comment!
Upcoming ideas
So whatever I decide to do with this, I wanted to share a few more things I am in the process of putting together for this community, some of which are very self-derived, the stuff I like to create because I enjoy it anyway and some ideas to make this more of a community here which is always a bit of a challenge.
- I started a thing earlier in the year maybe last year called the "AUv3 Guide", a look into msuic plugins for the IOS platform. I want to go back to this because I've got a whole host of these plugins to write about and/or create 3Speak videos.
- Tell us about your favourite pieces of music gear, such as FX pedals, software, samplers, drum sticks and so on
- Do you have questions on music tech? Are you trying to figure out whether to buy something?
- Would you like to see gear reviews here? I am open to people contributing some if you've got any?
I am a member of ModCaf as you know and we often get to see some really cool music gear there, I want to feature that on here a bit more and the people too.
I love watching what you’re doing, it’s a world of music that’s new to me.
If we found ourselves in one of the new music colleges, what might we want to investigate? 🤔
That’s a fantastic question. I’d love to explore the world of musical nature, putting probes into various plants and see what sounds they generate. You can do this using specialist contact microphones and I’ve not tried this yet - I do have one such mic though.
I saw a booth day before yesterday in LEEDS set up for listening to spice seeds!
That’s it I’m raiding our kitchen spice rack! I recorded the sound of pouring water into a glass. I think i posted it somewhere I’ll try and find it.

STOPI'm more interested in the technology side and would like to see more posts about that. I don't see an issue with having multiple communities as long as it does get too fractured. With our current small community we can keep things fairly general.
That’s the way I’m going to take it, the sample library will be secondary
I hope you can keep working on that too. Just have to focus on what gets the most engagement for now.
I certainly plan to and the music tech articles will feed into the sample library
You can have a few fair communities, just makes moderation a wee bit harder is all.
I’m going to rename this one, job done 👐🏻
"Do you have questions on music tech? Are you trying to figure out whether to buy something?": this is one of my favorite topics.
Also interesting is the aspect of how to wire the equipment in the studio, manage routing...
Routing is a big challenge even for my small setup. Do you have enough cables? Too many? I always find MIDI routing to be a challenge.
