My Simple Joy in Tough Moments

Life isn’t always a bed of roses for us and I thinks totally normal. The good days wouldn’t mean much if there weren’t bad days and vice versa. At every point in life, we as individuals ought to look back and see how far we have come.

Some days, everything feels good and we believe we can conquer the world. Other says, we don’t even want to get out of bed because we don’t see any reason for that. It’s all totally normal as everyone has those days. But what matters most of how you handle these bad days. Do you hole yourself up in bed all day with negative thoughts or you get yourself out of bed ready to fight this thing head on.

On days when we don’t feel so alive, we all have what helps us get out of the situation. For some it’s speaking to friends and loved ones or even hanging out with them. For others, it’s taking their favourite meal or beer and others just someway somehow manage to push it out of their thought.

Personally, I would say there’s so many way I handle such situations and it all depends on how I’m feeling in that moment. Most of these days come with their own force and feeling and if you don’t handle it the right way it’s just going to all turn out badly. First things first, I sleep is always my go to place when I don’t feel so in the mood. This is because I wouldn’t need to bother or think about anything while I’m asleep.

Next thing that helps me liven up would be music. I have albums of music I can listen to for a whole year and not even repeat one. As a music lover, music does means so much to means and heals so many parts of me no one sees or hears of. It’s more like music therapy but with no therapist.

Lastly, I’d say talking to people really helps me get through such bad days. I used to be one to hole up everything in me but until I started opening up to those that cared about me about whatever was weighing me down, I didn’t really realise the weight of the burden I’d been carrying.

Basically, these are the few things I do on my bad days and I know it’s totally okay to have such days, but what not okay is not helping yourself make it through those days. That’s the least we can do for ourselves in this world of ours.
