Carols that Calm the Chaos and Bring Inner Light

The Christmas season always remind me of my childhood. I attended a Christian school as a kid and man, this school took everything to a different level. We could prepare the who term for carols night and all of those Christmas stuff for us kids and our parents.

No one was left out in these preparations. As for me, I was everywhere. You would find me in the school choir learning new Christmas songs, in the choreography group learning new dance moves even though I’m a terrible dancer now and you would even find me in the drama group posing as Mary or one of the three wise men. I know you’d be surprised but yes, I played all those parts very well.🫡

The vacations were also filled with soo many parties for the kids in our neighbourhood, watching home alone which was the most famous movie then or listening to the numerous Christmas songs all channels showed all day long. I think the Christmas isn’t just a season of joy and love, it’s a feeling. Even now that I am far away from home with no plans this December, I still feel the Christmas spirit everyday.

When it comes to Christmas songs, as a kid I didn’t have a favourite because they all carried the Christmas spirit, if you know what I mean. Now that I am older I no more listen to those songs but when I hear them I find myself singing along to the good tunes. I think my choice of music has changed drastically over the years but even so, I just can’t do away with Christmas songs during the festive season.

My curiosity over the years led to my discovery of Pentatonix which is an American group with amazing voices and music choice. This group is known mainly for their Christmas songs but till date I still listen to some random song remixes from them and all I can say it, they’re amazing. There are only two Christmas songs from this group that has me in my feels and gives me nostalgia anytime I listen to them. The songs are ‘That’s Christmas to me’ and ‘Hallelujah’.

Personally, what makes me love these two songs is the beat and the connection between the voices of the singers. These songs go deep into ones soul making you feel the joy and beauty of Christmas. Sometimes I find myself listening to these songs on random days even when it’s not the Christmas. I like to think that this group is one of the best groups I’ve ever come across the past years and all I can say is , I’m stuck with them for life. I believe these songs will never grow old as every Christmas they feel and sound new to us.

There are many other Christmas songs I love soo much because they remind of the time I was a kid and had nothing to worry about. But now, these two songs have my heart this Christmas. Hopefully, next year I discover a new song to write about but for now, the crown goes to these two.

Below are links to the songs, I hope you love them. Wishing you a Merry merry Christmas and a happy new year in advance. 🥳💃❤️

Pentatonix - hallelujah is one of its kind. I really love that song.

And from his lips she drew the hallelujah

Up til date, I still don't understand this part. If you don't mind, can you explain?

Christmas now is not as enjoyable as it was when we were younger... Then the Christmas spirit was thrilling... Now responsibility has taken the spirit away 😂

This time that happens is very special and a person enjoys at will and also remembers many special things and here the way you have told that this song is your favorite song and you are listening to it. Keep listening to this singer's songs and you get a lot of peace.

Just like me, I don't listen to Christmas songs again but if I hear it being played anywhere, I sing along to it. I never knew you are a Christian, or aren't you? Took you for a Muslim lady. Christmas Carol is always amazing in churches. Though, I missed this year's own.
