Hello, I saw this Rising Star Game card named Courtney and I really liked it, not only because of its statistics (it's a legendary-rarity card) but also because of its beautiful design and the girl with the guitar. I liked it so much that I wanted to make a fan art of her in my style, and I drew her as a small chibi. I really liked the result and I want to share it with you all.
Hola, vi esta carta de Rising Star Game llamada Courtney y la verdad me gustó mucho, no solo por sus estadísticas, que es una carta de clasificación legendaria, sino por su bello diseño y la chica con la guitarra. Me gustó tanto que quise realizar un fan art de ella a mi estilo y la dibujé en forma de un pequeño chibi. El resultado me gustó mucho y lo quiero compartir con ustedes.
I began my drawing with a sketch, trying to lay down all the foundations and include as many details as I could. I'm not very used to this type of drawing, but I'll do my best.
Comencé mi dibujo por un boceto tratando de sentar todas las bases en el sketch y dejar todos los detalles que pudiera realizados. No estoy muy acostumbrado a este tipo de dibujo, pero haré mi mejor esfuerzo.
While I was perfecting my sketch, I began the line art. I'm starting with the details of the face and hair since I think that will be what identifies the character and my drawing the most. Little by little, I was perfecting and profiling each detail.
A la par que iba perfeccionando mi boceto, comencé con el line art. Estoy comenzando por los detalles del rostro y el cabello, ya que creo que será lo que más identifique al personaje y a mi dibujo. Poco a poco fui perfeccionando y perfilando cada detalle.
Drawing the legs took some effort, but after several attempts and corrections in the sketch, and refinement in the line art layer, I achieved just what I wanted.
Dibujar las piernas me costó algo de esfuerzo, pero después de varios intentos y correcciones en el boceto, y perfeccionamiento en la capa del line art, logré justo lo que quería.
This is how my entire line art turned out, ready to start coloring and adding details. I will be using the colors from the reference card in my drawing: blonde hair and a nearly black, very shiny guitar.
Así quedó todo mi line art, listo para comenzar a colorear y dar detalles. Estaré usando los colores de la carta de referencia en mi dibujo: el cabello rubio y la guitarra casi negra y muy brillante.
I began coloring my drawing with the skin, which I made light-colored, and added light and shadow details using different layers in soft light and multiply blend modes. I also colored the cheeks pink.
Comencé a colorear mi dibujo por la piel, que la hice de color claro y le di detalles de luces y sombras con distintas capas en modo luz suave y multiplicar. También le coloreé las mejillas rosadas.
I made the hair a very golden blonde, full of depth and highlights. I really liked how her hair turned out and how it falls naturally over her shoulders.
El cabello lo hice de un rubio muy dorado lleno de profundidades y de brillos. Me gustó mucho cómo quedó su cabello y cómo cae de forma natural sobre sus hombros.
So the dress and the guitar turned out with their colors, ready to make it play. I only had to add a very, very simple flat background that focuses on the character. For that, I created a solid pink background that contrasts a lot with her outfit, and some lines that frame the character. I hope you like how it turned out. I really liked the result. Courtney is a very, very beautiful card, and I think she will be my favorite guitarist from now on: I'm her fan, as her card says.
Así quedó el vestido con su color y también la guitarra, lista para hacerla sonar. Solo me restaba hacerle un fondo plano muy, muy simple que enfoque al personaje; para eso creé un fondo de color sólido rosa que contrasta mucho con su vestuario y unas líneas que enfoquen al personaje. Espero que les guste cómo quedó. A mí me gustó mucho el resultado. Courtney es una carta muy, muy bonita y creo que será mi guitarrista favorita desde ahora: soy su fan, como dice su carta.
