Greetings my dear friends from the Hive Open Mic and the entire Hive. With you again @nellynohemi to share and participate in this week 251, with this great theme "High School". For today I will present the song "I like students". I hope you enjoy it.

Look how they made me travel back in time, many years ago hehe, this stage was adolescence, I must admit that I was a very introverted girl, a regular student, I also remember that it was the time I had my first boyfriend and I believed at that time that he would be the only one, things of a girl in love. I also remember that I studied in one of the oldest and most recognized high schools here in Maracay such as José Luis Ramos, still active by the way, there were very good teachers. Not to mention the spectacular graduation parties that were held. I have seen in different interventions this week that they have related the theme a lot to the music existing at that stage and I think it is wonderful. But today I will talk to you about events that marked that period and come to my mind, such as the protest marches, when other high schools would take us out of the classrooms, inviting us to go with them to march. The teachers always let us go and advised us not to attend because of the danger of being arrested or, if it was too serious, even losing our lives, but a large group of students always went out into the streets and protested. I must admit that my mother did not like me to attend those events for the reasons already mentioned. Although I attended about twice without her knowing. The students raised their voices and demanded their rights, sometimes passively, other times not so much.

Because of what has already been said before, I bring this song in homage to those warrior students. This song was sung by Ali Primera and the great Mercedes Sosa and is titled "I like students".

I like students is on Mercedes Sosa's album "Tribute to Violeta Parra". The author of this song. It is a hymn of admiration for the youth group of students. Its lyrics express the courage and commitment of these young people who were not afraid to march against the government that existed at that time. It also highlights the courage of the students and the importance of knowledge and education as the key that opens the change and progress of a country.

High school is a period that prepares the student for the University where specialists will emerge for the careers that young people like.
