I also collect T-shirts / Tambien colecciono franelas [English - Spanish]

I like to collect flannels for several reasons. First of all, flannels are comfortable and versatile garments that can be worn for any occasion. Whether it's going for a walk, going to the movies, shopping or just hanging out at home, a t-shirt is always a good choice.

Also, I like to collect t-shirts because they allow me to express my personality and my tastes through the clothes I wear. Each flannel has a unique and special design, whether it is printed with music bands, movies or inspirational phrases. By choosing a t-shirt to wear, I can show the world a little bit of who I am and what I like.

I usually wear t-shirts with jeans for a casual look. I am always looking for new t-shirt to add to my collection and love discovering new and original designs. Plus, having different options to choose from.

Collecting t-shirts gives me the opportunity to remember some moments in my life. Every t-shirt has a story behind it, whether I bought it at a concert of my favorite band or my wife gave it to me as a gift. Every time I wear a t-shirt from my collection, those memories come to mind and make me feel connected to those moments.

These t-shirts were brought from Mexico by my wife, who bought them in a tourist area called La Riviera Maya, located on the coast of the Caribbean Sea, in the state of Quintana Roo. The shirt with the green background represents a celebration of the Mayan people to their gods. The purple background shirt represents Kukulkan, a deity of the Mayan pantheon, one of the most important Mayan gods. Kukulkan is the god related to the wind, water and the planet Venus, it is said that he always goes ahead of the god Chaac, the god of rain, because with his tail he stirs the wind which cleans the earth so that the waters run clean. Also, when I use them I always remember that I missed this trip because at that time I could not leave my job as External Auditor since less than a week ago the firm I was working for had been hired by a governmental company and they needed my presence.

I am a rocker who likes all the variants within this style of music, the rock group Asia and Peter Gabriel were presented in my country a good time ago, and I had the economic availability to attend their concerts, in the Amphitheater of a Mall in the city of Caracas called Sambil, in the case of the group Asia, and Peter Gabriel in the University Stadium of the Simon Bolivar University.

As a rocker I had the pleasure of witnessing the performance of the group Asia, with its original members: John Wetton, a singer and bass player who was part of such wonderful progressive groups as King Crimson, and UK, the guitar virtuoso Steve Howe who was part of the progressive rock group Yes, Geoff Downes a solvent keyboard player who was part of the group The Buggles with the great producer and musician Trevor Horn and also played for a while with the group Yes. Carl Palmer, a genius on drums who was in the Colosseum (British Jazz-Rock band) and of course was the main drummer of the group Emerson, Lake and Palmer. This drummer left the audience open-mouthed with his genius and virtuosity on the drums.

Peter Gabriel is another musical genius, original member of the Rock group Genesis in its most progressive stage, excellent soloist and one of the pioneers of what is called World Music, by creating a record company to record rhythms from all corners of the planet. I could not miss that concert, which was very sober in the audiovisual part, but excellent in terms of his music, where by the way Gabriel did not perform a single song of his time with the group Genesis.

I can proudly say that I was there, and those shirts remind me of him because it was at those concerts that I bought them.

Some years ago, I traveled with my wife and daughter to the island of Curaçao, and I found a store in Willemstad, the capital of this island that had very good discounts on rock t-shirts, there I bought the ones I show below:

I continue demonstrating my rocker vein: Led Zeppelin group that laid the foundations of what later would be called Heavy Metal along with groups like Black Sabbath or Deep Purple, the Rolling Stones considered by some the most important band in the history of rock, the unique and incomparable Beatles, much imitated but never surpassed, all musical geniuses that revolutionized the whole world. Ramones, one of the bands that helped the Punk genre catapult to the masses, the Australian group AC/DC the most important Hard Rock band, and Iron Maiden who cemented the sound of Heavy Metal in the 80s.

Besides all the admiration I have for these bands, these t-shirts remind me of one of the few trips I have been able to take with my wife and daughter.

There are cartoon characters and TV shows that always bring back memories of my childhood such as Popeye, always fighting for the love of a manipulative Olivia, and the big-hearted, childlike monster, leader of the Munster family, the great Herman Munster.

Other much more recent characters are the outstanding Bart and Homer Simpson, in The Simpsons, a program that used to be very acid and critical of society but nowadays presents many recycled ideas:

There is a very violent Marvel series, but very good and recommended called Punisher, Frank Castle is an antihero who avenges the death of his wife and daughter and faces new conspiracies, so he decides to follow the path of a violent vigilante, this is the shocking t-shirt I got allusive to the character:

The last t-shirt that I present today is of excellent quality, very soft fabric and does not give heat to wear it even though it is black, alludes to the Australian rock group AC/DC, I got it along with the Punisher in a store specializing in flannels allusive to Rock and pop culture called Machete Sport, located in the basement of the Arta Shopping Center in the area of Chacaito in Caracas:

I appreciate the opportunity that the Hive Collectors community gives me to show some of my t-shirt, which I usually wear from Friday to Sunday, being these the days when I feel especially relaxed.

Me gusta coleccionar franelas por varias razones. En primer lugar, las franelas son prendas cómodas y versátiles que se pueden usar en cualquier ocasión. Ya sea para salir a dar un paseo, ir al cine, ir de compras o simplemente para estar en casa, una franela siempre es una buena opción.

Además, las franelas me permiten expresar mi personalidad y mis gustos a través de la ropa que uso. Cada franela tiene un diseño único y especial, ya sea con estampados de bandas de música, de películas o de frases inspiradoras. Al elegir una franela para usar, puedo mostrar al mundo un poco de quién soy y qué me gusta.

Generalmente uso franelas con unos jeans para un look casual. Siempre estoy buscando nuevas franelas para añadir a mi colección y me encanta descubrir diseños nuevos y originales. Además, al tener diferentes opciones para elegir.

Coleccionar franelas me brinda la oportunidad de recordar algunos momentos de mi vida. Cada franela tiene una historia detrás, ya sea que la haya comprado en un concierto de mi banda favorita o que me la haya regalado mi esposa. Cada vez que uso una franela de mi colección, esos recuerdos vienen a mi mente y me hacen sentir conectado con esos momentos.

Estas franelas fueron traídas de México por mi esposa, quien las compro en una zona turística llamada La Riviera Maya​ , situada en la costa del mar Caribe, en el estado de Quintana Roo. La camisa del fondo verde representa una celebración del pueblo maya a sus dioses. La camisa del fondo morado representa a Kukulkán, una deidad del panteón maya, es uno de los dioses mas importantes de los Mayas. Kukulkán es el dios relacionado con el viento, el agua y el planeta venus, se dice que siempre va adelante del dios Chaac, el dios de la lluvia, ya que con su cola agita el viento el cual limpia la tierra para que las aguas corran limpias. Además, cuando las uso siempre recuerdo que perdí este viaje ya que en aquel tiempo no podía dejar mi trabajos como Auditor Externo ya que hacia menos de una semana que la firma en la que trabajaba habia sido contratada por una empresa gubernamental y necesitaban mi presencia.

Yo soy un rockero que gusta de todas las variantes dentro de este estilo de música, el grupo de rock Asia y Peter Gabriel se presentaron en mi pais hace ya un buen tiempos, y tuve la disponibilidad economica para asistir a sus conciertos, en el Anfiteatro de un Centro Comercial en la ciudad de Caracas llamado Sambil, en el caso del grupo Asia, y a Peter Gabril en el Estadio Universitarios de la Universidad Simón Bolívar.

Como rockero me di el gusto de presenciar la actuacion del grupo Asia, con sus integrantes originales: John Wetton, un cantante y bajista que formo parte de grupos progresivos tan maravillosos como King Crimson, y UK, el virtuoso de la guitarra Steve Howe quien estuvo formando parte del Grupo de Rock progresivo Yes, Geoff Downes un solvente tecladista que formo parte del grupo The Buggles junto al gran productor y músico Trevor Horn y tambien toco por un tiempo con el grupo Yes. Carl Palmer, un genio en la bateria que estuvo en los grupos Colosseum (banda británica de Jazz-Rock) y por supuesto era el baterista principal del grupo Emerson ,Lake y Palmer. Este baterista dejo al publico presente con la boca abierta dado la genialidad y el virtuosismo mostrado en la batería.

Peter Gabriel es otro genio musical, integrante original del grupo de Rock Génesis en su etapa mas progresiva, excelente solista y uno de los pioneros de lo que se llama World Music, al crear una compañia discográfica discográfica para grabar ritmos de todos los rincones del planeta. No podía perderme ese concierto, el cual estuvo muy sobrio en la parte audiovisual, pero excelente en cuanto a su música, en donde por cierto Gabriel no interpreto ni una sola canción de su época con el grupo Génesis.

Puedo decir con orgullo que yo estuve allí, y esas camisas me lo recuerdan porque fue en esos conciertos que las compre.

Hace algunos años, viaje con mi esposa y mi hija a la isla de Curazao, y me encontre una tienda en Willemstad, la capital de esta isla que tenia muy buenos descuentos en franelas alusivas al rock, alli compre las que muestro a continuación:

Sigo demostrando mi vena rockera: Led Zeppelin grupo que sentó las bases de lo que después se llamaria Heavy Metal junto con grupos como Black Sabbath o Deep Purple, los Rolling Stones considerada por algunos la banda mas importante en la historia del rock, los únicos e inigualable Beatles, muy imitados pero jamas superados todos unos genios musicales que revolucionaron al mundo entero. Ramones,uno de los grupos que ayudó al género Punk a catapultarse a las masas, el grupo austaliano AC/DC la banda más importante del Hard Rock,y Iron Maiden quien cimento el sonido del Heavy Metal en los años 80.

Ademas, de toda la admiración que les profeso a estos grupos estas franelas me recuerdan a uno de los pocos viajes que he podido realizar con mi esposa y mi hija.

Hay personajes de dibujos animados y programas de televisión que siempre me traen recuerdos de mi niñez como por ejemplo Popeye, siempre peleando por el amor de una manipuladora Olivia, y el monstruo de gran corazón y mente infantil, líder de la familia Munster, el gran Herman Munster.

Otros personajes mucho mas recientes son los sobresalientes Bart y Homero Simpson, en Los Simpsons, un programa que antes solía ser muy ácido y critico con la sociedad pero que en la actualidad ya presenta muchas ideas recicladas:

Hay una serie de Marvel muy violenta, pero muy buena y recomendable llamada Punisher, Frank Castle es un antiheroe que venga la muerte de su esposa y su hija y se enfrenta a nuevas conspiraciones, por lo cual decide seguir el camino de un justiciero violento, esta es la impactante franela que conseguí alusiva al personaje:

La ultima franela que hoy les presento es de excelente calidad, muy suave su tela y no da calor al ponérsela a pesar de que la misma es negra , hace alusión al grupo de rock australiano AC/DC, la conseguí junto a la de Punisher en una tienda especializada en franelas alusivas al Rock y a la cultura pop llamada Machete Sport, ubicada en el sótano del Centro Comercial Arta en la zona de Chacaito en Caracas:

Agradezco la oportunidad que me presta la comunidad Hive Collectors para mostrar parte de mis franelas, las cuales generalmente uso de viernes a domingo, siendo estos los días en los que me siento especialmente relajado.
