Birds Of Prey Animated Art. Artwork and Music by Nathan J Taylor. The "Birds of Prey" is a mixed media piece of art that includes vector drawings, video and paintings. This digital artwork is an homage to the large wild birds of prey that often can be seen souring overhead in the forests of middle America. The motion of these magnificent creatures is captured through the wings spread wide and the use of negative space. The colors used in the video and paintings are also meant to represent the natural beauty of these birds. By using a variety of mediums, the artist has been able to create a piece that captures both the motion and beauty of these animals.
The Meaning Of The Art
I often see wild birds of prey flying high overhead. North America is blessed with a wide diversity of wildlife, many of which are birds of prey. These raptors include owls, hawks, eagles, and falcons. Each species occupy a unique niche in the environment, hunting various sources of food from insects to small mammals and birds. In particular, several owls have adapted to diverse habitats; the great grey owl has been known to thrive in remote forests all the way north up into boreal regions while the burrowing owl occupies drier climates. Hawks can be found along plains and coastlines, particularly enjoying areas with plenty of open space for hunting and nesting. On the other hand, eagles often inhabit remote streams and rivers stocked with fish as well as coniferous forests offering tall trees for nesting. All these raptors must take advantage of their surroundings in order to successfully meet their needs while also engaging in territorial behavior. North America's wild birds of prey are an amazing part of our natural heritage that continues to provide awe-inspiring moments for viewers lucky enough to catch sight of them in their natural habitat.
About The Music and Sound
When I was creating the theme song for the animated art NFT, "Birds Of Prey," I wanted to capture the majesty and grace of raptors. Because birds of prey are incredibly special creatures, it was important that any musical composition used to portray them respected their regal status. To achieve this, my aim was to compose an uplifting and high flying tune that captured the spirit of these magnificent creatures. To achieve this, I worked with a variety of instruments from horns and flute, to bass guitars, melodic percussion and pianos.
