Done... I died.

How wonderful! No, of course not to die, but to come back to life. It's just that I was doing my nightly writing, something came on my playlist and I had to stop everything.

Strings.

That's what it was. It was strings. So I switched tabs. Of course I went to see. Afterwards I was stunned by what I was looking at... Sometimes I wonder why I get so disconnected from everything, or is it normal? Girls.... Who are they? 😶

I don't know about you, but I thought they were great. I thought they brought a breath of freshness to classical music and also a lot of sensuality.

¡Qué maravilla! No, por supuesto que morir no, sino revivir. Es que andaba yo en mis escrituras nocturnas, sonó algo ahí en mi lista de reproducción y tuve que pararlo todo.

Eso. Eran cuerdas. Pues cambié de pestaña. Claro que fui a ver. Ya después quedé atónita con lo estaba mirando... A veces me pregunto por qué me desconecto tanto de todo, ¿o es que será normal? Ellas.... ¿quiénes son? 😶

No sé a ti, pero a mí me parecieron geniales. Pensé que le daban un soplo de frescura a la música clásica y también mucha sensualidad.

When you access the Youtube link pointed there, it takes you to a video entitled OY U LUZI CHERVONA KALYNA which I share with you below. It is a Ukrainian folk song, written by the poet Stepan Charnestky. And the performance by this quartet is beautiful too.

Cuando accedes al vínculo de Youtube señalado ahí, te lleva a un video titulado OY U LUZI CHERVONA KALYNA que te comparto más abajo. Es una canción folclórica de Ucrania, escrita por el poeta Stepan Charnestky. Y la interpretación de este cuarteto es hermosísima también.

Its translation is Oh, the red viburnum in the meadow, and it is a type of berry that is a national symbol of Ukraine. Of course, this touched me, as I have some of my roots there. You can find more details about this here and you will also learn how a Ukrainian singer went viral with an a capella version of this song, raising awareness for Pink Floyd. The British band released a new song after 28 years, Hey Hey Rise Up, which uses a phrase from that interpretation.

But now back to Asturia Quartet.

Palladio is a composition by Karl Jenkins for string orchestra and refers to the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio (1508-1580).

Here these girls offer a very interesting version as well.

Maybe they'll say to me: "Oh, but you're further back than the chordals! 😂 Never mind, I accept it with decorum. 😁 I think they must have come to me through the door of Lindsey Stirling, whom I enjoy every now and then. In case you don't know her, Stirling is an American violinist, dancer, performance artist, and composer. So you know, the algorithm must have been responsible for this Asturia Quartet landing in Havana. From Estonia? I think so.

For me it's time to get some sleep. Maybe I shouldn't even go to bed anymore, there's nothing left for the sun to rise 🙄😆. Por supuesto que hay más de este cuarteto en las redes sociales. Sin embargo, mi misión aquí hoy es presentártelas, si es que no las conocías. Tal vez me digan: Ay, pero estás más atrás que los cordales. 😂 No importa, lo acepto con decoro. 😁 Pienso que ellas deben haber llegado a mí por la pueta de Lindsey Stirling, a quien suelo disfrutar a cada rato. Por si no la conoces, Stirling es una violinista, bailarina, artista de performance, y compositora estadounidense. Entonces ya sabes, el algoritmo debe haber sido el responsable de este desembarco de Asturia Quartet en La Habana. ¿Desde Estonia? Creo que sí.

Para mí ya es hora de dormir un poco. Tal vez no debería ya ni acostarme, lo que falta para que salga el sol es nada 🙄😆.
