Estas Tonne, my morning surprise

This morning, when I woke up, Youtube notifications had good news for me. Since I was listening a lot to the Ukrainian Estas Tonne yesterday, the algorithm took it upon itself to show me something I didn't know about; simple as that.

I often hate notifications so much that I turn them off. But this one surprised me in an unusual way.

If you don't know who he is, I can simply tell you that his name in Ukrainian is Естас Тонне (we are co-territorial) and he is only 5 years older than I. How would my name be spelled in Ukrainian? 🤔

You can read on Wikipedia a bit about this musician, but I've been listening to him for some time now and I particularly like his projection on stage, and the things he says. He talks about life and how it is perceived, about the transience and importance of moments and how they should be preserved and felt, but mostly through music.

So when you listen to it you feel it transports you and touches your emotions. You can experience an infinite vibration in his chords, and dream, because each of us will receive his art in many different ways, even if he himself in a live concert gives some light about what motivates him to play a particular song.

This was the video clip that Youtube alerted me to and besides making me smile, it got me dancing. Feel the music, but also watch the scenes filmed in some places in Cuba, mainly in Havana, Viñales and Trinidad.

If you have seen some of my posts you will find familiar places in this video, Loma del Angel, for example, where I have gone to visit Cecilia.

I was fascinated by his message. It's something we all need, to feel the good energy, the positivity. It is a reminder of what life is all about.

The images I share here were taken in Santiago de Cuba. It is my people, my people in their daily struggle. I am very pleased to show you my first joy today and it was this video I enjoyed with a chocolate ice cream. A mug full of it, hahaha... and yes, then I repeated.

I feel in debt to mipiano because yesterday in my post I forgot to tag Spread the Vibes #StV. I'm really sorry for that oversight, but I have a justification: my brain was like passion fruit juice. True, the post has a few edits because I always miss something, and I still didn't remember the tag. I can still go back and edit it for repeated words, things I can't even look at because of my OCD, but I'm letting it rest so that when I finally do, it will be the last time.

And back to Estas Tonne, enough chitchat.

The guitar he uses is a 10 string. I, who don't know much about instruments, immediately looked at mine and counted that it only has 6. Oh, what a fool I am. Of course I know that my guitar has that number of strings, but it was an involuntary reflex, because it is here in front of me, hanging on the wall.

It looks like it's a personalized instrument and if someone knowledgeable could explain it to me, I'd appreciate it. I've been seeing that it's an adaptation of a flamenco guitar.

Esta mañana, al despertar, las notificaciones de Youtube tenían una buena noticia para mí. Como ayer estuve escuchando mucho al ucraniano Estas Tonne, el algoritmo se encargó de mostrarme algo que no conocía; así de simple.

Muchas veces odio las notificaciones tanto que las apago. Pero esta me sorprendió de manera inusitada.

Si no sabes quién es él, sencillamente te puedo decir que su nombre en ucraniano es Естас Тонне (somos coterráneos) y él solo es 5 años mayor que yo. ¿Cómo se escribirá mi nombre en Ucraniano? 🤔

Puedes leer en Wikipedia un poco acerca de este músico, pero yo vengo escuchándolo desde hace algún tiempo y particularmente me gusta su proyección en escena, y las cosas que dice. Habla de la vida y cómo es percibida, de la fugacidad e importancia de los momentos y cómo estos deben ser conservados y sentidos, pero sobre todo a través de la música.

Entonces cuando lo escuchas sientes que te transporta y toca tus emociones. Puedes experimentar una vibración infinita en sus acordes, y soñar, porque cada uno de nosotros va a recibir su arte de muchas maneras diferentes, aunque él mismo en un concierto en vivo dé alguna luz acerca de lo que lo motiva a tocar un tema en particular.

Este fue el video clip del que me avisó Youtube y además de hacerme sonreír, me puso a bailar. Siente la música, pero también observa las escenas filmadas en algunos lugares de Cuba, fundamentalmente en La Habana, Viñales y Trinidad.

Me fascinó su mensaje. Es algo que necesitamos todos, sentir la buena energía, la positividad. Se trata de un recordatorio de lo que es la vida.

Las imágenes que comparto aquí fueron tomadas en Santiago de Cuba. Es mi gente, mi pueblo en su bregar cotidiano. Me place mucho mostrarte mi primera alegría del día de hoy y fue este video que disfruté tomando helado de chocolate. Una jarrota llena, jajaja… y sí, luego repetí.

Me siento en deuda con mipiano porque ayer en mi post olvidé poner la etiqueta de Spread the Vibes #StV. Siento mucho ese descuido, pero tengo una justificación: mi cerebro quedó como un jugo de maracuyá. Cierto que el post tiene unas ediciones porque siempre se me escapa algo, y ni aún así recordé la etiqueta. Todavía puedo volverlo a editar por palabras repetidas, cosas que no puedo ni mirar debido a mi TOC, pero estoy dejando que repose para que cuando por fin lo haga, sea la última vez.

Y volvemos a Estas Tonne, basta de cháchara.

La guitarra que usa él es de 10 cuerdas. Yo que no sé mucho de instrumentos enseguida miré la mía y conté que solo tiene 6. Ay, qué boba soy. Claro que sé que mi guitarra tiene esa cantidad de cuerdas, pero fue un reflejo involuntario, porque además está aquí de frente a mí, colgada en la pared.

Parece que es un instrumento personalizado y si alguien conocedor me pudiera explicar al respecto, lo agradecería. He estado viendo que es una adaptación de una guitarra flamenca.

Sobre su instrumento Estas Tonne dijo:

Quería que fuese de 10 cuerdas para que las primeras cuatro sonasen con más potencia al tocarlas al aire.
