No te vayas ahora

A great day, folks. Today is Tuesday and as you all already know, Tuesday is music day at Hive. Today is #tttt day, an initiative that this week is turning 4 years old. So congratulations to its creator: our great friend @ablaze.
We are almost coming to the end of this series of posts about Venezuelan Idols of the 80s. This week we will listen to one of the best known pop-rock bands from Venezuela: Aditus.
According to Wikipedia, Aditus was created in 1973, my year of birth, but it was in the 80's, when they recorded with one of the most important record labels in the country at that time, Sonográfica, that they became a hit among the Venezuelan youth. Let's pay tribute to this band by listening to three of their greatest hits.
The song “Hay algo eléctrico” is the title track of the album they released in 1987, which catapulted them as one of the most popular pop groups. It must be said that although at the beginning Aditus was a band with a “progressive tendency”, not only because of the change of its members, but also in the search to reach a wider audience, they began to work with more commercial sounds.
If the previous song was danced by the young people who jumped with the chorus: "Hay algo eléctrico entre tú y yo", with "No te vayas ahora", people cried as if it were a ballad of spite:
The last piece, "No te pueden apagar" is an anthem of the time. This piece is a song of hope. It speaks not only of the world, of music, but also of the life of a human being, who even in spite of adversity, must continue to shine. No one can allow another to extinguish his light.
Aditus is a band that is still going strong, in fact they recently got together to celebrate 40 years of success. It is said fast, but just like the 4 years of #ttt, behind it there is a lot of work, effort, desire. Long live the music forever.

I have never heard of them but gemini said they had lots of good songs like "Casualidad," "No Se Quita," "Mi Amplificador," "Victoria," "Algo Eléctrico," "Guardia De Frontera," "No Te Vayas Ahora," and "Tiempo." So I am glad you played some for us.
A musical hug today Nancy :)
And I'm glad Gemini told you that!!! It really was a good band. Too bad that personal interests, made many of the first members leave. A musical hug, Ed!
That often happens, oh well they still made some great music :)
A musical hug to Venezuela :)
