Sublime Sunday - Rockestar MJ

Yesterday I went to watch the newly released movie Michael. I was actually waiting for it to be released, so had to watch in the first weekend itself. OMG I cannot express what I felt watching the movie, first of all Jaafar Jackson, brilliant performance. In so many shots I felt like I was watching real MJ. He was and is a legend, he changed music forever and his music still fills up dance floors. God does not make people like him, Freddy Mercury, Elvis Presley any more.

The movie justified his childhood and the early struggle days, but I wanted to see it all and it just abruptly ended. Part 2 will be coming but no dates announced as yet. It would be good if it comes soon so that there is a good link between both while it is still fresh. I loved the child character also of Michael played by a child artist Juliano. He has picked up the moves so well. The show stealer was Jaafar Jackson who gave a brilliant performance all the way. He is MJs nephew and is a perfect fit for this legendary biopic.

The movie focused more on the early life of MJ from his Jackson 5 days and how he goes solo from there on. I am sure the part 2 will show his success journey and his adult personal life. I hope it's a little longer covering all areas of his life. I have been a fan of MJ. He is the pop star of my generation. From childhood I have been listening to his music and dancing to his numbers. The best one I like till date is "Heal the World", all his songs are super but this one I feel is special, and the other one is "We are the World". It's not his solo performance but he is the master mind behind it along with Lionel Richie, another gem of the era. He brought all the top singers of that time under one roof and recording this song in one night.

Whatever person he was in his real life, but I believe that he was not a bad person, may be some circumstances had not been in his favor but he was a kind hearted man. He created music that probably will be sung by another 2 generations and his dance moves forever will remain epic. If he would had still been alive, God knows what it would had been like with his music, but for the time he was he surely created some magic for us. Truly his light shined all over the world and is still shining.

A good watch for not only MJ fans but all music lovers. Some captures from the movie.
